This guy transcribes evil masters and gives you a good master in return. I figured I would test it out with a level 81 assassin master I had laying around. When I asked him to convert it, I ended up getting a level 81 fury master.I assumed he would have given a Ranger master in return. Does this guy give random masters when you hand him an evil one? I had tried it on Testcopy and when I gave a bruiser master, I ended up with a monk master of the same level.

This should be just PvP server specific, but I believe the transcription is random. If I recall, it's not intended to be a guarenteed upgrade for you but something you can more easily sell or whatever on your own "side" since trading with the other factions on the PvP server is blocked and, originally, so were any sales by broker.

The transcriber takes a good or evil master and changes to a class of the oppisite faction. Be it can be any class of the other faction. Masters for classes that can be both good and evil can not be transcribed.

I assume this feature was suppose to be disabled on pve servers then since it has been moved to PVP discussion section.

It should be removed from the PvE servers as soon as we can.

We apologize for the confusion this may have caused.

Olihin

Why can't we just have this on PvE servers I fail to see the problem?

Because it used to be that we could only have certain classes on either side and masters would drop for the opposing faction.

So are you saying that it no longer exists in PvP? They should either add it to both or remove it from both at this point TBH.

opposing faction masters are still harder to sell, you can't avoid the broker fee because you can't buy at opposing factions home, nor trade directly.

Envy is a sin.

Donno where you're from, but being an "opposing faction of an evil city" (An evil swashy) I would LOVE actually getting the option of transcribing and the chance for a master I need actually popping. I don't even bother transcribing any spells but the crappiest of the crap because of that, no chance of me getting what I need and I'd end up hawking it anyway.

The real power here isn't trading an evil master for a good one or trading a dupe for a non dupe the real power of this NPC is trading a really crummy master that no one wants for a better master regardless of class.

What is it exactly that would be a problem for giving this to PvE and why do you even care?
