I think the game should have more realistic blood, both on players and mobs. I mean you can hack away at a mob for a few mins and he still dont bleed.

Just my thought

they would most likely have to change the rating from Teen to Mature. SOE's market would go down some cause of that. Dont get me wrong I would love to see blood and guts but we have to let the kids play too

if you want a good game to play with blood and guts play Dragon Age: Orgins....that game is really fun and it has blood and guts. I was playing it on my PS3 when I was having computer issues and couldnt play EQ2

Well if they have a bad language filter i do not see why you could not have a blood filter as well. If such were implemented i would have it be voluntary for those that can prove they are at least 16 years old or so, and have it be unselectable for those under that age unless a parent gave specific permission for it to be turned on. This would avoid all the whiners and what all that would complain about it if such a policy was not in effect.

That is a good point Keirie. Like I said I would like to see it implemented but they would have to put a parental password or something on that setting for parents that have kids that play

More realistic blood? There is no blood at all.

At Comic Con last year I asked Kander and Gninja about the blood issue.

It was due to the game rating that they can't put it in as flying droplets and giblets.

But...if you look real carefully...there is some blood in game when critters are killed, it's just of a diff colour at times.

Also, dried blood smears seems to be okay. The instance with Perah'Celsus has blood smears on the ground from where it seems bodies were dragged, on the wall, in one hallway it's spaced as tho a body was being swung in time to large footsteps.

Germany, I believe, also has issues with blood in games.

If you want realistic blood in an MMO, try Age of Conan, and don't worry, there are plenty of kids playing.
