Heres a link to the way it was introduced in game- http://everquest2.station.sony.com/...info/updates/54

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/File:Unfo...8Visible%29.jpg

I bought several of these for me and my alts on this and other accounts of mine.

I just logged in today and my elf is now super tiny inside the frosty cube. I paid my money for the bigger elf version, you cant even really tell when moving around that the cube has anything inside it anymore. It looks just like a frosty cube going after you. Whereas before the elf stuck out of the cube and was obvious he is being "eaten". I even named mine my Unfortunate Boyfriend (Im a dark elf) and ran around with him, much to my great amusement.

I loved looking at the surprised "home alone" crazy face he made and now I cant even see it. I cant even really see theres an elf inside at all. >

Please, please, please, tell me this is not intentional. This is a marketplace item, real money was paid for the original look. I bought several so its more than "just a dollar" in my instance, to gain this items appearance. Change it back if someone did this "fix" and shrunk my boyfriend. >

It's funny how people can view the same thing in such a different light and how it's soo hard to make anyone happy I never liked the clipping of the items (elf and hat) outside the limits of the cube.

Still, they may have gone a bit too far the other way and made it a tad too small.

I can see your point about not making everyone happy when it comes to our games and how we want them.Im usually one of those people that goes with the flow and dont go out of my way to make everything about me or a very vocal minority.

The unfortunate thing about this item is that it wasnt free. If I knew these fluff items appearances would be changing down the road I would be hesitant to buy them in the first place.

So ya, make me and anyone else who bought this item happy, because we bought this on top of our standard subscription to enjoy a little bit of fun thats not a part of regular subscription. If you dont like the item you dont buy it.

Want something similar but different? Ask for it, like how we want pirate hats and kilts. This was the design, it was marketed as such and we bought it like that because we liked it.

This gameplay shouldnt be subject to change, its been said that they wouldnt change anything marketplace because of the paying for items issue, UNLESS the item had some stats that was deemed unfair to regular subscription, these items are to remain solely fluff.

I dont know what the hat frosty cube looks like on this account I dont have them, but I do have many of those on my other accounts. My hat inside was a decent size but not clipping or falling out of the cube at all. I am happy with it. I sure hope that wasnt changed too.

To sum this up; marketplace fluff items are not supposed to change appearance. How anyone could complain about these and have it successfully changed is beyond me. To my knowledge this would be a first for a marketplace fluff item.

The hat definitely had a problem going outside the cube when it wubbas* around; I was very glad when they fixed that. The elf works either way, since it's obvious the elf is not actually being eaten, but only being hugged by the gelatinous cubes, since, as we all know, gelatinous cubes are very friendly creatures and would never eat a Frostfell elf. Besides, it's been five months, and the elf isn't at all digested.

* Wubbaing: the way gelatinous cubes move

maybe that's the REAL reason they made him smaller. the cube is digesting him. becuase cubes are violent, monsterous things that devour and consume all in thier path. they do however make a tasty jello snack...you can find it at the city festivals

I know keep the elf at original size just cut him off at the waist as he is being eaten!

Cubes are sweet, friendly, wubbly, huggable creatures! AND NOT FOOD!

I didn't buy one of these and I never will but I tend to agree with the op -if people are going to buy an item they shouldn't drastically alter its appearance months later. Although just as I was typing this I thought of the fact that the armbands tend to not fit all races tightly and I would like THAT to be fixed in the future.
