Ok, from a quick search it seems like this requested feature has been on the back burner for several years. Can we bump it on the priority list now? Either 1) allow us to change the settings in-game, or 2) please get it out of the .exe file so the UI mods can allow us to fix the problem ourselves.

I agree it would be nice to change the mouse pointer size. Maybe were the only ones who have lost track of the pointer in combat or while trying to heal.

I've got a 24" monitor and it's very tiny. It completely gets lost if there's any animation going on. If they ever allow us to customize it, I'm going to make it this 200x200 arrow that's a hot, flaming, "coming out of the closet", neon pink. ...maybe with some glowing rhinestones thrown in.

...man it's irritating the crap out of me. I love this monitor except for this one problem.

What it needs is options. Clearly I don't want to impose my needs on others, but I"m legally blind and can't find the mouse more often then not. I also don't want to be obtrusive to others. It's currently hard coded, and as it stands can't be changed, but I do wish they'd look at it at some point. We're getting older, ya know. Pretty sure even you sighted folks were be losing it now and again after a bit

bump for a good idea. I lose mine at the worst possible times.

BUMP

Yes, this needs to be addressed. I finally got a decent computer, with a new LCD, and with all the bard notes and spell effects turned on now, I can't find that blasted cursor anywhere half the time. It *used* to be customizable, why can't it be again?!

I agree, i lose the mouse often. A seemingly easy solution would be to add an option for a tail, so when you move the mouse, the tail will drag behind, making it easier to see in action. Make the tail a bright color (not necessarily neon green, but a yellowy gold would be good, or sparkly silver) and make it an OPTION (that is off by default).

As I get older it is MUCH harder to see the teeny little cursor we have. Please give us an option to make it more visible!

Have to agree with the sentiment of everyone here, as monitor resolutions go ever upward this issue will only become more and more prevalent. Surely just adding an option to disable EQ2's custom pointers wouldn't be too much work?

WTB huge, honking, glow in the dark mouse pointer that's visible from orbit. But will settle for one that I can see on my monitor.

I'd love for this to be re-sized.

When two-boxing and thus switching between two monitors, it's very easy to loose the mouse. Hell, I'd settle for a "location" feature too. On some laptops, you can press a key and circles radiate out from the cursor so you can find it. That'd work well for me too...

I loose my pointer too sometimes, can lead to quite bad situations

Usually I move it to my second monitor and back to find it again.

Maybe an option to use the "windows" system mouse, I always liked the one that is showing the negative colors of the underground where your'e hovering over.

Couldn't agree more! We need to be able to adjust the size of the pointer, specially since bigger monitors are becoming a lot more common now than they were when this game was launched!

Yes, this needs to be addressed. I can't count the number of times I've lost my cursor, especially during raids - even with graphics turned down I sometimes lose the thing at the worst possible moments. And disabling all particles with the /r_particle_priority -1 command isn't an option in most situations; I have to be able to find particle-based locations fast.

Please make the cursor customizeable (I know, it's a major job to monkey with something so integral to game interaction) if at all possible.

I like this idea. I'm with everyone else here when it comes to losing the pointer. It happens when I need it to the least. Not when I'm just running around Norrath killing random things that get in my, but when I'm grouped up and there's a lot of action going on... and BAM! [Removed for Content]?! OH NOES!! Where's my... oh nevermind.

While resizing would be nice, fully moddable would be even better! You got my vote

If not the size, maybe the colour. A nice hot electric green or yellow should make it visible in most situations. But these should be options, not mandatory.

Has anyone looked in the UI graphic files? Maybe it's tucked away in there somewhere.

You can't modify it in any way....

I agree. I have good vision and a big monitor but it is very difficult to see in heavy combat. It would be nice to be able to change the size, color, perhaps have it animate a bit when it is moved. Anything to make it noticeable against a moving background. As mentioned, probably best to put its properties in one of the UI files so people can customize it to their heart's content.

What makes this problem even more aggrevating is that you can't simply use tab targeting in favor of mouse targeting. The tab targeting in this game is the worst I have ever seen. you can have three mobs in front of you with one slightly behind another and it will only ever target the two. That is maddening.

I changed to a new monitor this week and it's amazing how hard it is to get eq2 to be blind friendly. Well, blind friendly and look goooood I guess beggers can't be choosers and blidners need to setlle for fuzziness. I and my daughter have banged heads and are getting to a decent solution but the one thing we can do nothing about is the mous pointer which is the size of a fly on a shoo fly pie. THis is causing some reluctance on my part to play my permadeath toon.

Please add Cursor Size ability. Lose it constantly. Plus, large monitors coupled with age makes it hard to find...

I'll add my 2 cents to this. I too lose the cursor on the screen at the most inopportune times..... as the healer! If we could change the size, the color, anything. Please make it modable.

Oooo and I like the idea of the circles around the cursor. Yes, definatley need something to help us find the cursor when lots of action is going on around us.

Awesome - and here I was thinking I was the only one who kept losing their mouse pointer when moving around the screen. I like to two box and constantly shift from monitor to monitor, clicking the keys on the hotbars, and lose the darned thing way to often.

Mouse pointer resizing for the win please.

This is something that has been on our to-do list. I'll see if we can bump it up in priority.
