I know SOE wont change the existing gear because they spent too much time/money on what they have now. But please for the love of the game do not make the next set of pvp so silly looking. We're not all 15 year olds. We dont all want skeleton faces.

I know you wanted one set of gear to fit all classes so you didn't have the issues you've had with past sets imbalances and class envy. Its also a lot less art assets to have to create. I understand. If you wanna make blanket gear go ahead but please dont make it so silly looking.

Heres what my bruiser will look like when he has the set:

Sure bruisers are supposed to be brawling ruffians. But can you imagine being a monk sporting this. How ridiculous would that look.

SoE already implemented a fix. Its called an appearance slot.

On a more important note it is kinda messed up that the gear from the pvp merchant and the gear from the bg merchant have different appearances even though they are the same items. Is the gear on the pvp merchant some previous version of the bg gear that wasnt updated?

Oh so since they made appearance slots they can automatically allow all gear to look like crap? No I dont think that was the point of appearance slots at all actually.

If you recall they added appearance slots when everybody looked like clowns because everything they wore was some different random color and texture.

So, I restate my point - BG gear is ugly and looks like its geared towards 15 year old boys. I think the average age of an eq2 player (even on nagafen) is quite a bit older. So again, when making the next set of pvp gear please dont be so silly.

And yes they said a long time ago they'd make pvp gear look different if you bought it using open pvp tokens. They said "the open pvp gear will stand out more so that you know who's earned the gear in real pvp" or something to that effect. I can hardly tell a difference. Maybe there are some missing skulls or something. They look basically the same to me. Which sucks. I'd be nice if at least one set was cool.

Meh, I like the stuff, and I'm 35... You know what the word subjective means correct?

Can't please all the people all the time I suppose. I am however glad they decided to give it a special appearance and not the samo samo.

I think the gear looks kinda neat. *shrugs* That is why they gave us the items and appearance slots in the first place, choice.
