We need an automatic leeching report tool. Something where we can target a group mate and /reportleech when they're simply joining and staying afk the entire time for the free token.

Im guessing, based on these leechers inability to respond to hateful group chat and the fact that they stand still the entire time, they're probably bots. I assume the bot just keeps putting them back in the que. the rest is automattic.

SOE please add some form of quick easy reporting. Petitioning is a pain.

(My suggestion? if a single account gets too many leech reports in a given time period their unable to join the que. If an account gets a certain number of these lockouts in a given time period then SOE needs to investigate to see if the player is indeed botting and then ban them so they have to buy a new account and start over. Yay more money for soe).

this was also a problem in warhammer when it first came out. i quit that game so i'm not sure if they found a solution.

First it was if you /afk you got booted... then it was after a few minutes of innactivity the game would auto /afk you then boot you... but people just made autojump macros to get around it. Who knows if they ever added anything else after that though.

While you're fixing that, please look into the random generator that arranges groups. It is very frustrating to see that when you log into a battleground (like GOK) and look at your group makeup, you don't have a single healer whereas your opponent's group has 3. Situations like this ties into the whole afk problem as well, as many people feel it pointless to fight back and to just afk.

When enough people warned the player, they would get a debuff. The debuff gave them a couple minutes to enter PVP combat. If the failed to enter PVP combat after those few minutes, they would get another debuff that prevented them from gaining any kind of rewards from the BG until they entered PVP combat again.

If the system is automated by the game itself then people can still abuse it. However in your suggestion Sphiriah the players maintain control. Even the AFK person can redeem themselves by not being afk anymore.

How about a simple random word generator where each player would need to input a pre chosen word before able to enter the BG?

A lot of web forums have a similar set up to stop bot accounts. This sort of thing would take very little programing and would only delay the BG by a few seconds (limit it to 4 letter words to help this).

Also, how about a 2 minute start in the BG BEFORE combat begins, just to make sure everyone has zoned in and the raid leaders can sort the groups out properly.
