View Full Version : Wards not being counted in parse window at the end of the game

At the end of the match when the window pops up showing the leaders of damage, heals, killing blows, etc. the heals section does not count wards. It isn't exactly fair for shamans (who primarilly use wards). Of course keeping people alive is the main objective of a healer, but there is a certain amount of satisfaction derived from seeing how you faired against other healers in the BG. When wards aren't being parsed, you don't get a fair statistic.

I won't even go into the focus damage (which ignores wards) in the Gears BG =. Shamans get gimped out when resorting to direct heals. Ah well...

I'm curious if pet damage is counted.

I parsed my Defiler, wife's warden and sister's templar... Wards & Reactives not showing at the end compared to ACT. So druids are always top parse in a BG on heals

According to my ACT, reactives are being counted.

I'll take a leet shaman who seemingly does terrible on the "heal parse" than a couple of druids who can't even remember they're suppose to be HEALING people who get hurt. Heal parse may not show it but, your enemies sure know =p

We'll get wards added to the 'healing done' section soon.

Ah, I don't think putting wards into the heal parse would be fair to druids though either. Can't heal when you guys have already taken care of business. But parse doesn't matter cus its easy to tell the difference between a good group with a druid and a good group with a shaman. One hardly goes down and one never goes down.

And if you're worried about if you heal for the most rather than for how much your group needs, you're missing the point of PvP.

I hear ya. Heal parse in BG is not the most effective way to judge a "good healer" in BG because in some cases the best healer, for instance, might be with the people defending central tower in Smuggler's which may not be attacked often yet when they are they are healed very well. Meanwhile a "lesser" healer may be running around capturing towers and getting attacked often, healin a little under par, but in the end show more healing.

That being said, if there's gonna be a "heal parse" in BG it just needs to show everything. All heals should be counted. And in the case of advantages, yes, that would give shamans an advantage in that respect simply because if they're good(really good in pvp) your group members won't even take damage. Shamans have a disadvantage when it comes to druids in the fact that shamans cast much slower.
