I gave BG a shot, I'll try it again more as we go on, I'm willing to give it a chance.

First impressions, you zone in, buff up and immediately get ganked. Buff up again, immediately ganked again. Of course the healer is targeted immediately and is the first to die.

Suggestion: Let healers heal on the run. This is a fast paced game similar to first person shooters, for the healer to have to stop and heal, especially the long group heals, just doesn't fit in the least with a fast paced game. If both sides healers can heal on the run then there is no advantage to either side.

I'm assuming there is some kind of match system where players of at least equal level are matched. But I thought we had a pretty good group makeup, but just got ganked repeatedly and repeatedly. After 10 or so ganks I just said the heck with it, it was NOT fun in the least.

My prediction: It will be a big hit with the Unreal, first person shooter gankfest type players. Not putting them down, just not my cup of tea. I must say I'm VERY disappointed this is the reason we didn't get Halas, and are not getting bugs fixed on live. I would have MUCH rather they put in 2 more instances for tokens than BG. I'll give it more tries though, I'm not a quitter.

**Altered the subject line. -k

The issue with AA's being reset seems to be a server configuration error. We have locked the battlegrounds world to keep new matches from starting up while we fix the configuration.

We will have more information very soon about how to proceed if you're missing some AA after coming back.

Why was'nt the intergration of Battlegrounds into the servers looked into more effectivly during Testing. I know the Devs have gone to great lengths in testing to get this right....but when I hear of people having issues with loss of AA, and XP, as well as having their UI reset, I wander why something like this was'nt picked up at testing.

I dunno maybe I am overreacting. This could be one of those Glitches that was'nt picked up till BG's went live.

Hope the devs are watching this thread right now... BG has a serious issue where we are losing all our progress towards our next level in both adventure and tradeskill experience, and anyone who has over 200 AA points is getting set back to 200.

*Edit* Oh forgot to mention my team won my first match and I didn't get my 3 gears.

Any exp over your level was deleted. If you were 70% into 87 (Greyquill on LDL) then when you came out, you were 0% into 87. The same happened with tradeskill exp. Obviously, AA's were reduced. I went from 250 to 200.

I really don't see a point in flames or pointing fingers at Sony for what should have been done. I just hope that a solution is found and quick as right now I'm not sure whether to bother playing (fruitless if there's roll back) or just continue on in hopes of some code or format adding the lost exp/aa.

Im honestly going to post this in the nicest and calmest way that I possibly can.

First of all Kiara hats off to you for your job it stinks been here before on the same calibur but honestly what these guys really need is a developer comming in and saying something.

They dont need the community director comming in saying "People are working on this" The tag that you have unfortunatly doesnt calm people, and letting us know that it is by your patience that they are allowed to speak is quite offensive in of itself. Like Im saying this isnt trying to be rude just a simple suggestion that may help calm the tides.I personally rather then seeing "We are working on this situation" would much rather see, a developer come in say "This is whats happened, we know it went wrong, this is our plan of action"

To many open ended promises and remarks tend to leave individuals and customers with heavy hearts and often the slightest problem can offset a perfectly good run. I think the battlegrounds is a great idea for many reasons, I already see people that otherwise would of never stated anything about pvp mechanics talking about off balance and such. The loss in Experience and such will be fixed as I do not believe that sony would leave that with an Our bad statement.

But something more then a Soon(TM) and comming from a developer that would actually be fixing the problem might help calm the tides.

Thats just my respectful two coppers.

A concerened Player

Khristoss of Nagafen.

In Defense of the Battleground part, it was alot of fun. Did the 6 x 6 BG and it went well, team Won so that was good. There were some times when targeting seemed off though. Tried to root people and said ... ineleigble target or something like that, which was annoying.

Anyway...not playing on my toon now incase there is a reset to get the exp loss back. I hope I get the exp back.

I would like a reponse also. I am one of the ones affected and to be quite honest not 100% where I was in AAS. I was 18-20ish lost. Me and the wife did a ton of older zones last night mentored that we never got AA for and got a bunch. I'd prefer a rollback instead of a guessing game of a CS trying to return what was lost. I also would like something for our troubles. If I can't play my toon, yes I know I can play others, for a day, two days, etc till fixed then its your problem and that is time I am paying for lost. Not a happy camper no, and to be quite honest I find the way this is being handled to be wrong. The best solution would of been to close down the servers and rollback everyone. Would of been quicker and safer.

What people are complaining about is the fact that those that ARE going to be dealt with by CS *may* get rolled back on a personal level. Which means it might be wise to NOT get anything accomplished on the toon. So far we have still not been given an ETA or even an explination of HOW people are being fixed. Which means that those of us that are waiting for CS to get to us are stuck =P

I will say this though. 4 hours and still no ETA.
Thanks for the information, Rothgar. Now if you can just provide an approximate time when CS will have the fixes completed, I think that most of the frustration/concern will be alleviated. I mean, we don't know if this means we are likely to be fixed within the next hour or sometime next week. We don't really know what kind of timeline making this a customer service priority means. We know your working on it, but some kind of time window is probably in order.

Update: It's been 2 hours and 40 minutes and still no fix.

the free respect comes back once you spend a point in a tree. unfortunatly if you were like me so infuriated that you spend point at random to see if it was a graphic glitch or something then your free respect is gone, hence why i d rather have rollback of my toon than a restauration. anyway i m not playing this game until i get both my toons fixed.

For the hour I had left after getting screwed all petitions were down and giving errors. Also... This site was also down on 3 different networks, so a post couldn't even be made... I had to result to emailing GM Galatee directly as I have her adress from a previous issue where poor customer service was offered. Not to mention, I still have a standard petition that has not been resolved yet as well for over 5 days now. HORRIBLE, customer service. Should be offering some type of compensation for something that was not our mistake. Even half month off sub costs...

As many have said. I know in my line of work, i.e. customer service...
I'd like to point out if it has not been already that you can lose your research assistant progress when you go to BG. When I came back, it was if I had cancelled research: no spells was being researched, and I had a credit of 25% (or whatever the number is) of the time I had put in. Started research again, did BG again, same thing.

There should be more rewards for joining bg with fewer than 4 people because stacked groups do not deserve 3 tokens as they are taking no risks. I have been part of plenty of such groups.. boring

Also their should be a limit to how many tokens you earn in an hour. Many people are exploiting various things as well as not playing on lesser geared toonsfor two main reasons. 1) there is heirloom on the tokens so they can gear alts oF a super geared toon without having to play them. 2) No one will complain about cheaters in a non pug.

Cheats include running super fast when snared or not (some groups get the gear in a second zoom zooming), exploiting buffs on gear without wearing it (using macros/CUSTOM UIS), exploiting endless DI,

Well personally it took the wind from my sails when I saw my hardest eared AA points gone just because I tried what u have been pushing for the longest . I consider this terribly unproffesional by your administative team to push out a product when it was obviously not rdy good thing this is an online game and not a Toyota eh ? That being said it is aalso very obviously not rdy because it would have came out along with the rest of the expansion all together since that is what we were made to believe in the first place , my thoughts are that someone along the executive branch needed to hurry up and make a payment on that new island in the bahamahs they just bought so needed the sales right away from the expansion because SF wasnt even rdy but you got your revenues when u wanted your revenues . I have watched time after time this company lose accounts due to a seeming indifferent attitudes towards their clientelle but let me warb u that YOU need US to make a profit and just because this is an internet market and you dont have to see our faces does not excuse your lack of customer serveice any more than if we walked into Sears and and clerk told us oh well wait a few weeks before I answer your question . Trust me there will always be other companies rdy and willing to seize upon your failures and grab a share of this market . As terribad as WoW is , yes I tried it myself and it is terribad not from what I heard but from what I saw for myself . However had it been halfway decent you would have lost a customer with 2 accounts 1 which has been active since the game was approx. 4 months old . To be treated like my concerns do not matter simply because I am only 1 ( or 2 in this case ) fish in the great sea of eq2 , is only an administative attitude that causes the fall of great corporate entities . NUFF SAID .
