Okay so i had to re-install EQ2 because i got Win 7.

When i re-installed it it installed the streaming client. I tried it out for a couple days and found it annoying on how long it took to zone into places. So i began to look for the old launch pad and i can't seem to find it any where.

I also tried to Station Launcher and when i try to start it for some reason i get this Error " Unable to load application files from C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentStation LauncherMain. Do you want to retry?" and when i hit yes it just keep coming up.

So can i please have the OLD, original launch pad or a way to fix the Station Launcher?

Greetings,

It apears that our station launcher team has recognized an issue with the program and are releasing a new version to correct it. That could be what is causing the problem here. At the moment there is a preview version of the new launcher available here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/stat..._id=11500015270

On that page you can find instructions about how to install the other version. Otherwise, the new client should release officially in day or so.

I am experiencing a similar problem. thie constant Fetching Assets is killing my ability to group. At least set an option to do all this fetching overnight?

I had the similar issue but, i downloaded the new launchpad and it is working okay. you have to download the launch pad into a findable file and put the launch pad icon from that file onto your desktop and use that as your shortcut and it will work. Now the new problem i am having is an error message comes up that says this "There was a problem moving C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEQ2VoiceService.exe_delta_8123_7.patched to C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEQ2VoiceService.exe. Please make sure the game is not running.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds."

I tried re-installing EQ2 and the station launcher several times because of this error. I also am running windows 7 on a brand new computer. The game is not running when this is happening. So how do we resolve this?

I appreciate all of your time and thank you very much!

Luia Fangblade

Nektulos Server

Member of Retribution

In most cases you can correct that problem by following these steps:

1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Please let us know if the issue persists at that point.

Hey Daniel!

Running the program as an admin worked. What happened to cause that error message?

Thanks again dan I really appreciate it!
