Greetings! It's been a while since I've posted here, but I'm back with some exciting new content! You can see the gallery of my Gorowyn Heights Suite here: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=450981Some things have changed since then, but overall it's still similar. For the moment.Coming soon: Decorating of the new room added in GU53!--NOTE: Please excuse the poor quality, I'm currently forced to use low quality video settings due to a memory leak in the game. As soon as it's fixed, I'll be sure to upload high-quality pictures. Or feel free to come stop by yourself. When I heard about the teleporters for homes I immediately had so many ideas ... none of which included placing teleporters around existing parts of my home! So today, after many hours of annoyingness and trial and error, I bring you ... Ocean's View! This is a little quiet place outside my Gorowyn Heights Suite. It's still work in progress, but due to the .. bugs of placing items in certain places .. the ability to place items is limited. There are three floors to this quiet getaway.

The first floor is just a small enclave for ocean watching and meditating. The second floor is a quiet area where you can enjoy the water, or enjoy the company of another.

The third floor is complete with a bar and is perfect for stargazing!

Feel free to come check out Ocean's View in my Gorowyn Heights Suite on the Unrest server. I've still got lots of ideas for it, but it's working just fine. Teleporter is all set up right in the entry way. Please enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Ooh, awesome! I've been dying to try this with my Kelethin home with the teleporters, but I had been waiting for the layouts to be back on live.. Did you do this without layouts?

What? now you can get out of your suite too? That is amazing! I love it! I have to try mine...oh no, I don't live in one any more. But you did a great job with your tree house and everything!

Wow, that's cool, I may have to see if something like that can be done in my acorn.. Hmm.. Every time I look out the window I just want to be out there, lol.

I just stuck the teleporter halfway through the window (which did take a few tries), teleported onto it, moved the second one out, and ta-da! Outside my home. I have the same problem though, nothing seems to be soild out here! Hmm.. was thinking of building a deck at least, but it is very buggy outside. Also, when I look back at my home the walls are missing, heh.. maybe it's not so nice out here. Still exploring, though.

Ah, I edited too late, oh well. It's really buggy out here, but I'm still thinking of a few things to try, heh..Edit: This is what I mean, about the walls of my home missing. :pStill, it's pretty neat to be out here!Edit again: Not sure how I did it, but I went to jump and bugged over to another platform - which is actually solid! This is really neat, hehe.

Indeed I do, and I think I figured out what happened..I can see my buggy house from here! So, I think when I tried to jump from the platform at my window, it droped me down to that platform below it. The one the home is on doesn't seem to be solid (although I've not tried to go walk on it, just tried jumping down to it from the teleport.. imagine it would be the same though), but so far all the other platforms are solid. The homes are missing their doors, and when you look into them you can not see the walls, although they do appear from the outside. They could be interesting to perhaps use somehow, though..

It's never to late to sprout a pair of wings and start hugging trees, lol! This is really neat, I've got a few ideas brewing, but I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow when I have more time to mess with them. Thanks for the inspiration to try getting out sooner!

Well after reading this i decided to give it a try ..1st i tried it going outside the window and after getting out there and trying to place items and falling alot i wasnt able to go too far with it. So i tried a different approach i went to the upper room in my gorwyn house and moved a teleporter up into the ceiling and ported up there and was able to place alot more. If its above the room you have alot more leeway as far as placement goes i posted 1 screenshot to show how it looked since the servers went down i didnt have time to do anything.

I wish you would not fall through the world so much in the outside area of the Kelethin house. You fall through the platform the house is on and all of the grassy areas I've been on. The zone eats alot of what I have placed out there to make a walking path to see what is out there. This is really cool like the Antonica/Commonlands Tier 3 guild halls...just wish we didn't fall through the world.

Also somethign to note not sure if anyone else ran into this while messing around with the teleporters and placing things above or outside the walls. I had some items placed above the ceiling then placed items in other rooms of the house went back and forth a few times between areas and noticed items started disappearing in the cheat areas and also in the normal rooms of the house . I packed up my house and all my items seemed to be returned to my moving crate. But i dont plan on trying to go outside the borders again its not worth the frustration of having things disappear on me . Guess i have to learn to color inside the lines so to speak =P

I really just wanted to get down there and decorate outside.. /sigh Perhaps they'll just give us an empty plot of land, someday.. I still had some plans for the platforms, though.. however, if things are dissapearing those might get scrapped as well. I'll have to just throw some things out there and see what happens to them, before really decorating anywhere. (Although, the three tables I'm using as ramps out on the platforms still seem to be there.)

I saw this post a couple of hours ago and immediately logged in to try it out! I managed to jump on one of the solid areas outside the window of my Gorowyn 6-room and from there I put down a piece of grass and built up a cute little garden. I then took the teleporter out of that area so it was just visible from the inside, but you couldn't go out there. I was PRETTY happy with it. Here's a screenshot with me outside...

So I was all happy it was looking cute. I decided I wanted to build something else so I zoned over to the guild hall to get some supplies. When I zoned back home I was in some crazy pile of crap right inside the doorway. Couldn't move, couldn't see anything that made sense. [Removed for Content]? Then I realized... it was all of the components of my beautiful garden. /frown So that, at least, doesn't work when you zone out and zone back in.

I raised a teleporter all the way to the ceiling on the top floor of my house and was able to build a floating platform up above it, but I decided I didn't like it way up there - so I don't know if that would've worked or not. Anyone else run into the problem of all the stuff outside your house appearing in your doorway when you zone back in? It was cool while it lasted!

Figuring out where you can and can't place items was the most annoying part.

Here's how it works: You can't place an item somewhere where there is no ground. That also includes placing an item on top of another item that IS on solid ground. So, if an item is in a location where there is no ground below it (even if it is placed on another item), it will reset to your entrance. Luckily for me, the tree outside was solid, and I was able to carefully place items on top of it.
