Ok so I have the faction to purchase the 6 room house, but is there one that doesnt require status?

All i found was one for some odd plat and xx amount status and 24000 status per week?

What happens when you dont pay 24000 status house just shuts off? Not that i wouldnt have that but just curious.

The main thing is Id pay more plat to purchase and more per week in cash if i didnt have to pay status too.

So main question is are their any Majdul houses 6 room with no requirement to pay status points?

All 5/6 room homes require status as partial payment. How you would eliminate the status requirements is with home furnishings. Most items we decorate with have status reduction modifiers.

congrats on the majdul home

Only Qeynos and Freeport do not have a non-status version of the 5/6 room homes - in all other cities, Maj'Dul included, you have the option of a home with a status component, or one without which costs a bit more coin every week. For Maj'Dul, the non-status home is down past The Court of Truth building, in the Outcast's Ledge area. The layout is slightly different from the status version (the Twilight Terrace home), however.

Maj'Dul Housing Guide

There's only two homes in Maj'Dul that don't require status. If you really want the 6-room house, I strongly recommend working on collecting high status reduction items (mastercrafted house items and collection rewards can help a lot with this) if you cannot afford the weekly upkeep in status. I had that problem early on with my Qeynos Manor (before the non-status 5 room homes were put in), and finally ended up letting it lapse for some time before I was able to re-afford it.

If you don't have a high level Carpenter and can afford shelling out the plat, look into crafted items such as the Incarnadine Teardrop Wall Lamp (hopefully spelled correctly!). I believe those give 1,100 reduction. Items such as that will help you hit the 24k quickly.

And yes, if you don't pay the status upkeep, you cannot enter your house until you do.

edit: early morning typos.. need moar coffee

further edit: I have since been corrected; there is a non-status 6-room home in Maj'Dul.

According to my notes before GU 53 room addition:

no status

Kelethin: Aerie Kolmas 6 room acorn price 1p 68g 84s; upkeep 6g 75s 36c; vaults: 5

Neriak: 3 Walk of the Dead 5 room house price 1p, 70 g; upkeep 7g; vaults: 5

Maj-Dul has no 6 room, but has a 3 room with no status (largest residence possible, but now has 4 rooms with GU53)

Gorowyn has a 5 room no status price 1p 70g; upkeep 7g; vaults: 5

Of course, up the number of rooms since the GU53 is now live

The large Maj'Dul residence was on test with six rooms (they may originally have had five on test, but they've had six for a good while), and it has gone live with six rooms. It has the same number of rooms as the affluent residence, although as I said, they have slightly different layouts. Before the changes they were both three rooms, with different layouts, so that is to be expected. The piricing is still correct, though. The large residence, again in the Outcast's Ledge past the Court of Truth, is indeed a six room home with NO status to buy it, and NO status for upkeep.

I was the one who updated the housing guide for them while it was on Test, so that is very awesome if the large residence also got six rooms. Thanks for letting me know.

edit: Yup, it was a case of me not being able to count on Test.. remembered the layout as soon as I walked in.. hah! Definitely a 6-roomer. =D
