OK I am having some issues with EQ2's voice chat. Firstly let me say the following:

Ventrillo works perfect

Skype works perfect

Teamspeak works perfect

Voice chat used to work fine for me, all I had to do was select 'Default' for both the input and output and I had no issues whatsoever. I always had the extra option of selecting 'Realtek HD Audio Input' and 'Realtek HD Audio Output' from the drop down menus but I never had to use that.

Recently though I have either done something that i cannot work out or something has happened because now I get these options below, with a error message saying that it cannot find the windows mic settings.

I do have the option of selecting the Realtek HD Audio Output / Input BUT that has major issues. Firstly it is insanely quiet, for example if I count to ten in a channel I get to like 2/3 before it doesnt pick up any input from the microphone at all. The only way to get it to work is to literally shout.

Before anyone suggests I switch on Mic Boost or increase the volume of the Mic, I have already done that. Mic Boosts gives off MASSIVE feedback and echos and is not clear enough to be useful at all.

WHat I want to know is why Vent/Skype and Teamspeak all work perfectly using whatever settings they are using and how to restore that setting back to voice chat so it works just as it did before.

I am guessing previously it was using the standard Direct Sound drivers like Vent and Skype are using, now for some reason that isnt a option and default gives me a error.

I have tried to install Direct X again and still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions because in all honestly this is pretty much destroying EQ2 for me. I just do not understand why everyone seems to have so many issues with voice chat but hardly nobody ever has issues with ventrillo etc.
