no joke, as it is there are very few plate tanks on Naggy, and the only one's u really see are the battle plate tanks (i.e. zerkers and SK's, and ohhh how SK's have exploded on the server), even guards are of short supply, which is probably the main reason i always find myself the MT of every group im in. the only classes u ever see on PvP servers in general are the DPS classes and bards.

and after this next update u may quite possibly see the end of the Pally class on any PvP server since we no longer have that ONE trait we were best at. as it is im really considering betraying myself so that i may maintain some usefulness and at least have DPS on my side.

The same thing will happen on PvE. If the Paladin class currently on Test makes it to the Live servers, people who play Paladins will

a) betray to SK

b) put their Paladin on ice until SOE brings to EQ2 a dev who knows about more classes than just the Assassin

c) delete their Paladin to make room for a class that is not completely broken and useless

d) keep their Paladin for cyboring roleplaying

e) keep their Paladin for tradeskilling

f) cancel their subscription

I'll probably go with option (a) and if that doesn't work out for me then (c).

If they don't quickly clean up their mess, I will go with option f as well as my wife. This is my second toon that they are ruining due to his idiocy. They are taking all of the fun out of our recreational fun time activity, and for all I care, they can sink with that idiot that is doing all of this nonsense. I will celebrate his unemployment more than I will mourn the loss of my favorite activity. If they did things like TSO but with less need to constantly grind the same zone many times and walk across the same swamp 5,000 times to draw the process out, then I'm sure they'd do much better than they are now, and I'd happily continue playing it.

A dps class should not be allowed to manage the mechanics of the game.

No offence guys but please switch classes or whatever. I will be sticking it out on my Pally and IMO there will still be a need for the class no matter what. What I think some of you are failing to see or being a bit of an alarmist IMO is that even if we as Pally's we are ""reduced to second rate Guards" This is the same thing that happend to zerks and now they are on the rise. It happens but even with the decline in the need for zerks as MT they still had a roll to fill and so do we. So go ahead and choose option F or roll over to SK I will take all the spots I can that ya'll leave.

Your OT spot will go to a Shadow Knight, a Berserker, or to a second Guardian.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I have to say I am excited to have changes (good or bad) with my class and look forward to sitting down and remastering my class. As far as Nagafen Paladins go I suspect the main high tier Paladins (Abel, Elwin, Myself) things will be business as usual. Myself and the Guardian that shares MT duties with me in Fortitude are both excited about hate changes. I kind of suspect managing agro will be a more tangible thing that we can track and understand better. I mean, being able to parse hate is great, and I think once everyone gets the hang of things, the tanks spec right, and learn their effective taunt strategies things will actually be better.

Looking at things from a purely raid perspective. Crunching numbers MT and OT agro, at least to me, looks like it would be easier to manage.

I'll stick it out too. I played an Illus at launch. I have seen alot of changes since then, and they are pretty fun still after the dust settled.
