More than once while playing this weekend, I heard someone mention that they had been told that Frostfell was canceled this year.

My immediate thought, coupled with a bemused headscratch was: "Buh?"

Not one of my more coherent moments, mind you, but definitely one of my more confused ones.

Nasty little rumor.

What is next, I ask? Will you tell me that Santa Glugg is nothing but a figment of my imagination?

Lies! Lies!

I have been to the Test server. I have had him hand over prezzies into the greedy hands of several of my alt army over there. I have even gotten excited over a bag of coal! Frostfell is alive and well, I tell you, and arriving on a server near you in a few short days!

Again, let me repeat: Frostfell is NOT Canceled

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Thanks for the great (as always) write-up, DenMum!

I adore Frostfell. It's what brought me back to EQ2 last year after almost two years away. And I just can't wait to start stealing pressies and making goodies again!

Is the bag-o-coal a house item? I could set it next to my workbench! To tinkerers coal isn't a sign of naughtiness, but fuel for more tinkered mayhem!

I have added another picture to the writeup that includes the quested Qeynos tree, the gifted sack of coal (baubles/ornaments, snowflakes and more are possible gifts, too), an equipped and a wall-mounted buckler, and the candy-striped staff.

I don't have full details on all the gifts from Santa Glugg, as I often forget to log back into Test and beg him for gifts.

Two more days! I can't wait! LOL I was looking through my house vault the other day and found that all three boxes are jam packed with leftover supplies from last year. Hopefully they're still fresh enough to be added to this year's supply! **Trips off to make sure she has plenty of room in her bank for all the goodies she's planning for this year**

I wish they would add even more holiday type events, Thanksgiving, 4th of July etc and just change it to match some kind of lore in the game. And not just American holidays but other countries and cultures as well. Maybe something in the summer that is almost as big as the frostfell but the rest could just be smaller events. We really need to break up the level / achievement grind with special events. One holiday type event a month !!

[email protected] wrote:

One holiday type event a month !!

Unfortunately.. while that sounds marvelous.. means less development time spent on new content and the next expansion and worse.. less time spent on bug fixing.

I prefer the holiday setup the way it is.. just enough to look forward too and not too little that its only once a year like an expansion.
