I clicked on it today with my 71 Fury and apart from the "fire" bar filling up nothing happened, I didn't move. Other characters stood alongside me and got fired ok. Is there a minimum level for it to work perhaps?

I know there's nothing I can do yet in the new zone but I thought at least I'd have a look at it and probably get some exploration AA xp.

There's really no reason for this quest to be the level it is, considering it is required to get to the other part of the zone. I know of no zones in EQ2 that have a REQUIRED level to even get to.

I suspect it's a hedge against overcrowding, though I thought it was a bug at first when I tried to cross with my level 70 character.

Still, I'd like to be able to put my head in the door and have a look at the decor at least (once the game stops crashing and I can play again).

If you are a tradeskiller, you can start the 'Ship Out' quest and they will port you all over the Moors. Of course, this isn't a solution for every day Moors travel but if you are just wanting to explore a little, you can do it this way.

An adventurer needs to be 72+, I guess (I actually thought it was 75+, heh), but a crafter only needs to be 50+. I'm not sure if you have to talk to the Ship Out quest girl first, or if you can get the quest immediately- but I know once you first get the quest, you can unlock the canon.

You can at least zone into Moors.

Also, if you are a 50+ crafter, you can take the crafting quest in moors which will allow you to take the cannon quest.
