Can I Preorder S.O. Expansion, and get full game that comes with it now?

<p>I have a friend who wants to start playing EQ2 with me now. However he doesn't want to buy Kunark, and in less then a month buy another 40$ expansion. Question is, can he buy Shadow Oddesy and then play the full game and older expansions now while waiting for Shadow Oddesy to come out? And then just activate his Shadow Oddesy code at launch?</p>

<p>You could have him try getting a trial account and then subscribing. My husband did this a while back and received a free copy of RoK. Otherwise he'd have to purchase RoK to play beyond the trial before the expansion goes live. You could always have your friend call customer support or talk with them on live chat to ask if trial accounts that subscribe still get the free RoK copy.</p>

<p>I agree with the others that posted.  If you get the trial and subscribe to it you should get all of the expansions up until EoF.  That should give your friend plenty to do between now and the expansion release.</p>
