This is best buy's way of telling us geeks that the games get shipped on tuesday and are available on weds for pick up.

I'll say this, at least bestbuy is letting us do this as in store pick up over having to pay for shipping and wait for the game to eventually arrive.

That is the date I got today as well, and considering Manager of the gamestop didn't even know there was an Expansion coming out until I asked about it...........

Take a look at the profile of Rijacki on AB. I guarentee you she was started day 1 of EQ2's release around 9am that day. BUT... her creation date is either the date I moved her to Guk. If you look in her level history for Wizard, you can confirm she existed LONG before the so-called creation date (you can also see the time she was on Guk, too). I also lost discovery stats in the move, too.

I refuse to preorder retail (which means I don't get my bear) because every place I've went to tells me the 19th. If you're patching it on the 18th, getting it on the 19th is worthless. Way to sell more digital downloads I guess.

If you don't get to the content on the first day, you miss out on discos, which are very important to some people. To me, it's nice to see, but I don't rush to find them.

I preorder from Amazon. Release date still says the 18th which is when they will most likely ship it. Often (no always, but often) they will ship it a day or so early so I actually GET the item on the release day - that happened with RoK. I got my RoK orders the day the expansion went live which was pretty cool. I didn't get any tax with Amazon though I did have to pay for delivery. If you belong to their club thing then you get free 2 day shipping and pay less for overnight. And server discos really mean nothing to me.

Ele~

ordering from retail puts you at their mercy.... you CANNOT expect anything but to receive it eventually... and maybe not even that... use digital download from SOE Store to have it as soons as it's available.my experience has been I recieve it days later ....and when a pre-order bonus is available... I don't end up receiving the bonus...

well due to the fact that the nearest store that carries the game is 2 hours away and i'm already making one trip on the 13th to pick up wrath of the lich king on release day(yes i play both games) i decided to have this one sent via delivery. i dont care about discos. it gives me a chance to level my death knight in wow as to how i made 73 only making 173 items or whatever the number was... this character was created in nov 05. my account was hijacked by someone i called a friend at one point around a year ago. shes been transferred 12 times in the past year, three times in the past two months. i just got it back about a week ago when i decided i wanted to come back and had to do account recovery due to this former friend of mine jacking it and changing all my info.server transfers reset the data. to me, its just numbers. and when i get a way of making a better signature, i will. or soe's sig generator could let you choose what stats to show on it, might be an idea there. if its there, i havent found it.

Gamestop says they will ship it on the 18th. I preordered the box from there with 3 day shipping. Meanwhile I also preordered the digital download from SOE. So I will be able to play on the 18th and have only a 3 day wait for my bear. I was thinking about trying to 2 box someday so I guess nows a good time to try. Besides, I have only been playing since last December and got everything with the RoK bundle. So in my twisted logic I figure I'm still getting off cheaper than people that have payed for each expansion one at a time. Maybe I'm the one that's obsessed.

They are one of the largest outlets for SOE sales.. they're not about to abuse the release date or cause potential future customers from returing.
