SPECIAL EVENTS

During "Raising the Banner," a team of dedicated excavators and researchers have begun to uncover a remarkable find in the dunes of Sinking Sands. They have numerous tasks for any recruits willing to help defend the site, excavate relics, maintain their assisting clockworks and provide crafted supplies for the team. They cannot fathom how important this project is and how it is fated to reshape the world of Norrath for years to come!

Would it be possible in the future to give advance warning before making updates that take away a multi-part quest. We weren't quite finished with the last one from GU 48. All you have to do is post that tomorrow we plan to put in GU 49 and we would have finished it last night instead of doing something I'm not supposed to talk about. You have a wonderful communication tool here with the forums and the Web site front page, why don't you use them? This happened to folks on test as well if I remember correctly. The quest really wasn't in that long compared to the length of time for the bonechip quest, etc. was there. I did my part and then some to collect bone chips, but you couldn't give me notice that time was coming to an end to complete a quest I helped unlock. Sorry, if I appear less than nice here ... but good lord I feel violated. And no posts telling me to stop whining, please.

Got a problem with the Guild Halls. I purchased a Tier 3 Hall for my guild. I set all permissions as needed. Once we zoned into the Hall only one of my officers has any kind of permission to buy the amenities. None of the leaders or the other officers can even see the amenitie screen. The one person can see it with all his toons, but no one else can. I "bugged it" but have gotten no reply after about 4 hours...I know GM's busy and prob couldn't help with this anyway...Could you look into it. TuddaanGuild "Legend"Blackburrow Server

Custom UI...I do use Profit, but so does he...and he hasn't updated....Plus its just not me...No one can access the amenity's except him.The only thing that we can come up with is...I purchased the guild hall and he was the first one to zone in...He had access. I am afraid to drop his trustee rating because if he loses it, then we lose even him. Then have no access till its fixed, or we figure out how we screwed it up

Yeah notice of removing world events would be nice.. The original tempest storms were on for weeks, then the bone chips quest which after it reached 100% it was a little over a week to try to finish several multi-part quests.

I managed to finish the murder mystery quest on my lvl 80 character, but it took literally hours. I wanted to do it on a couple more characters, but it was in game for such a short time. One of my guildmates had the very last step to go and logged on yesterday morning to find it deleted from her quest journal. She was furious, and rightly so, after investing so many hours, to have it simply disappear. There was no warning that this quest was going to be replaced by the excavation event.

I don't understand why it was necessary to remove the murder quest. There are still void storms, the murder is part of the same story line and it doesn't seem to conflict with the excavation quest.

If you're going to put in a quest that takes hours to complete, at least give us more than a week to do it. There are so many things we do in-game, such as tradeskills, raiding, leveling, and other quests, that a week to complete something like this simply isn't enough.

I for one think you should put this quest back in the game and reinstate it in people's quest journals, at the spot they were at when you so rudely deleted it.

As for deleting it from journals... I personally think they should have auto completed them and giving the rewards... as long as you had done atleast 1 of the subquests.
