Hello everyone, long time no see.  I haven't played EQ2 in quite a while but I think I'm going to come back and give it another shot for the new expansion.  I'm building a new PC (kinda funny, when EQ2 first came out I built my current PC for it too, heh) and I need some benchmarks from other EQ2 players.<div></div><div>What type of hardware do you have and what type of settings do you run on?  Resolution?  etc.</div><div></div><div>I'm just trying to get a feel of what calibre of machine I will need in order to truly cherise the wonderful environment of Everquest 2.  Reports from the look and feel section of the forums say that EQ2 is more processor based than graphics based; does this hold up to be true for you?</div><div></div><div>Thank you very much, even if you take only a minute of your time to type what type of gameplay you have with your rig it will help me out immensely.  I'm trying to do my research beforehand <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div>

Probably a better question in the Tech Support or Off Topic forum in my opinion.. but, none the less I'll offer my opinion.I played on P4 with 2 gigs of RAM and a nvidia with 256 megs of RAM for about 2 years before getting a nice quad-proc with 8 gigs of RAM and a 512meg nVidia video card recently. Night and day. And with multi-core support now on the Test servers I have to say it was worth the investment. 80% of the time that people mention lag.. I'm not experiencing it. There are still a few "hot spots" where I get a little stutter.. but not enough to warrant that it slows down my game play any more. The best perk is that I can now play in high quality instead of a tweeked Balanced mode and still be functional regardless of the scenario.. eg. Raid, PvP, PvE or Tradeskills.

You can see my home specs by click on my name and viewing my profile. My case is a silky smooth black, that silently works away while I play EQ2, and use pinnacle TV or VLC to watch TV/movies while harvesting or raiding TPR

At least if I delay the installation date of the box long enough<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
