View Full Version : Home of a simple Monk (image heavy)

<p>Hello, again, everyone!  I have always had this home in my head but could never get it right.  With the inclusion of the wall dividers and a few other items, I finally was able to complete it to my satisfaction.  Welcome to my alt monk Sassee's home on the Nektulos server.  </p><p> I used the knight paintings for screens because I like how the back looked, plus, you can still place them front to front and walk through them.</p><p> <img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000277.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000278.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000280.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Upstairs, we can get a look at her study/bedroom area.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000281.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000282.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000283.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000284.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000285.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Heading back downstairs.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000286.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Across from the stairs we can enter her area for medidation and her display honoring dragons.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000287.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000288.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Leaving this room, we head into her casual living space.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000289.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Then we glimpse another entry.  This time, to her training area.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000290.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000291.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000292.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000293.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Finally, we stroll out to her garden and spend the rest of the night relaxing and talking.</p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000294.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000295.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p><img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm98/Marymoon917/EQ2_000296.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></p><p>Thanks for coming along on the tour!!</p>

OK nevermind i made a toon over there and realized i have NO CLUE what your address is.  And I couldnt find u on the broker.  Can you PM me your address?

This whole arrangement is just so striking.  I'd have been happy with just the one, front room. Let alone the whole house.  The mood of the setting is perfect for your Monk. Well done!  <i>Purrr...</i>

<p>Oops!  My apologies, I thought I had posted the address.  You are most welcome to visit at 12 Lucie, South Qeynos on Nektulos under the name of Sassee, anytime!</p><p>I actually thought of doing this in a 5 room house, but I originally saw this in the 3 room so that's where I experimented.  And it's not perfect, I was stubbornly smushing walls into walls, etc. to put them where I wanted them instead of working with the lay out of the house, so there are a few glitches, but I decided I could live with them.  </p><p>And yes, it's hard to decide what to keep and what not to use in a theme based design.  (Still looking for something to use as chopsticks as the wonderful utensils just don't seem to work for the monk theme.  Any ideas?)  The idea for this house was to keep it as serene and uncluttered as I could.  My main is as you said, her house is full of collections, etc that make the house look rather cluttered, but lived in.  I don't think I have ever posted her house but will do so sometime.  Then you can see how cluttered it really is!!  If you go to see the monk house, can stop by Marymoon's Manor on Errollis (sp) Lane, also in South Qeynos.  </p><p>Many thanks for all of your comments!  I have long been a fan of this forum and have "borrowed" many of your wonderful ideas.  </p>

I really love the first room, but everything in your house looks amazing!  The wall dividers look really, really nice!

The entire house looks fantastic, but the front room in particular is gorgeous. I love the use of partitions, paintings and lanterns that are in it.

<p>Wow!  Excellently done and really nice use of the dividers and screens.  </p><p>Now I want to redo my house (actually, I've been planning to for a while, just never sure what I want).</p>

I really like how the red theme is carried throughout, and it goes really well with those dividers too, Who knew! The whole thing is very zen and very monk appropriate. I really like it.

<p>Thank you all for your comments!  Klooless happened to mention to me today that Sassee's monk home was mentioned on EQ2 Treasure Chest!!  Many thanks for that!!  Also, several others of you might want to go check it out to see mentions of your own creations, grats to you!!</p><p> PS.  Also, thanks Domino for not changing the knight paintings, lol, at least noticably to me anyway</p>
