With all the new house items, especially the nifty room dividers, I decided it was a good time to renovate Daani's house in South Qeynos.  I liked the original layout but it needed some updating, especially all the bookcases which I originally used as room dividers.  There are pictures of the old version here <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=324154" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=324154</a> if you'd like to compare what has changed.   The address is 2 Lucie Street in South Qeynos on Guk, if you'd like to visit <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Entering the house, a selection of paintings line the hall, with doorways leading to several rooms.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_hall1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_hall3.jpg" alt="" border="0" />The first door on the right leads to the War Room.  A place to meet and strategize, to plan battles and adventures.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_confroom2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_confroom3.jpg" alt="" border="0" />Continuing down the hall...<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_hall4.jpg" alt="" border="0" />The next doorway on the right leads to the living room.  A cozy fire and some comfy chairs provide a nice place to relax.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_livingroom1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_livingroom2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_livingroom3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_livingroom4.jpg" alt="" border="0" />If you venture up the stairs, you'll find the bar where you can have a drink or snack, or just sit and play a game of cards.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bar2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bar3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bar4.jpg" alt="" border="0" />Continuing back down the hall, a doorway leads out into the back garden. <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_garden1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> A small glade of trees surrounds a pool, providing a peaceful place for contemplation. <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_garden2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> At night, the lanterns hanging in the trees shine brightly. <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_garden4.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_garden5.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_garden6.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> Watch out -- Smoke, the cat, may try to trip you on the way back inside! <img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_cat.jpg" alt="" border="0" /> Continuing back down the hall, and around the corner, more doors beckon.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_hall11.jpg" alt="" border="0" />On the left, Daani has a small office.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_office2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_office5.jpg" alt="" border="0" />On the right is the dining room.  Note that Daani does not actually cook (she's far too busy building or decoraing!), she contracts with her provisioner sister, Lyrra to provide meals as needed <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_diningroom2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_diningroom3.jpg" alt="" border="0" />Continuing up the stairs to the upper level...<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_stairs1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_stairs3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_stairs4.jpg" alt="" border="0" />Upstairs, Daani has a peaceful sitting area where she can sit and read a book (and perhaps eat a bonbon or two!).<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom1.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom2.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom3.jpg" alt="" border="0" />On the other side of the divider is her bedroom.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom4.jpg" alt="" border="0" /><img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom5.jpg" alt="" border="0" />A vanity table with wash bowl, mirror and various toiletries and cosmetics.<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom6.jpg" alt="" border="0" />And lastly, a nice big hot tub with privacy screens to sit back and relax at the end of a hard day's decorating!<img src="http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i192/eveningsong/Daani/d_bedroom7.jpg" alt="" border="0" />

I love it!  That's makes the house seem more like a 'home' with the separated rooms.  Very nice! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I really love the garden as well, that is just very well done.

Love the lanterns stuck in the trees- looks like a bunch of fireflies! Very cute! Great use of the dividers and great set of ideas for some of my toons that are sick of their standard 3 room layout! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Well done!

<p>Beautiful. I love the garden too. Now I want to rent a three room place for one of my alts just to have a graden.Great pictures too and just the right size for my old monitor. I'm going to get a new system one of these days, but until then I'm limited as to what I can view on the forums.I have a problem with those three room houses though. Does anyone else? I have to click on both doors at the top of the stairs to get into or out of the upstairs room. None of my toons will go through with just one of the doors opened.   Guess I had better make sure there's a bucket under my bed. </p><p>And that reminds me of your steaming hot tub.  I'd love to have a long soak in it.  Very, very nice. </p><p><img src="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/images/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /></p>

Silken... have you tried the doors lately? They now are set (at least in my carpenters house) to where if you click one, both open- should solve the problem! Until then I avoided the 3 room houses like the plague because of that <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Now its so easy thank goodness!

Perhaps they only fixed this issue on some of them. 21 Lucie Street is a three room house, version 3 btw.</p><p> And yes Silken it is annoying! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>Hmm... my carpenter is at 15 lucie. not sure which version that is... but I know both her doors now open with one click <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> maybe they are going to make them all that way... I hope!</p>

Thanks all <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I, too, was a bit tired of trying to find interesting things to do with the huge rooms, so I was happy with how the subrooms worked out, although things definitely get a little cramped in some places <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.  I do like the dividers, although they do have their issues at times when trying to fit the exact space you want the wall to go.  We could really use a narrow version that matches to be able to continue a wall where the long stretches doesn't fit (for example, a short stretch of wall right at the corner).  And another version with exactly the same wood colour but without the bottom border would be great for when you need to stack them.  And of course, other colours would be nice, such as matching the walls in houses other than acorns... *puppy eyes at Domino*  ooh, a clicky customize option to set the colour the same way you set the floor/walls would be awesome! As for the doors, they definitely missed at least one house.  Daani and another alt are at 2 Lucie Street where clicking one door opens both, but my main Eveningsong is at 21 Lucie as well and you have to click both of the doors to get through still.

Unfortunately the 20 Lucie house is one of the few 3 BR with 4 vault/broker slots instead of the standard 3 slots, so its a fairly desirable location (although it requires status and has a slightly higher rent). Hopefully they'll fix it now that we've mentioned it <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I'll submit another /bug report tonight too.Edit: corrected address, as I am on the even side of the street hehe.

That is one of the most extensive used of the dividers I've seen for far. Really cahnges the home's look. And I love the forest glade, sooo serene.
