Anyone get anything from this? Or is it just a bad joke from soe?I think it is a great idea to get rid of all the access plat in the economies if it has some chance of giving you something But if it doesn't, it is in poor taste Anyone have any information? I opened a few and so far heard nobody has got anything from them.By the way they cost 10 gold each and can buy as many as you like.

I haven't been there myself by a guy on the Bazaar server lastnight said he bought like 10 of them and there wasn't anything in any of them. This is a very good question because like you said if they are just a money drain it is in very poor taste!

Aw I almost got excited reading this. I would love a random item generated giftbox. It would be fine if the items were of no real worth, stuff like appearance slot items or house goodies.I'd waste all of my money on that. But buying a box of nothing? Pass. Phooey... I really was excited for a moment.

People really do complain about anything.

I thought the goblin vendor was quite humorous. People should know better than to expect to buy anything of value considering the other items on the list. I saw the list, chuckled, and didn't buy any of it.

I bought 1 of those boxes, and was really excited about the whole thing. Then I opened it, but there was nothing in it! Then I bought 1 more, and nothing again. Then I bought 3 more.... still nothing. Then I bought 5 more after that, and was about to buy even more before I was kinda "dragged away" by guildies. So now I'm thinking.... maybe if I'll get something eventually if I buy some more? Do you think so?

Whatever your take on it, and how smart you think you are or how dumb you think others are etc ..Is it right to have it in game? It would be like soe putting in a new hard boss mob that people think must have good loot, but in fact it has no chance.Just would think soe would put a limit on it of like 50 or something if in fact there is zero chanceAgain, it is in poor taste to have a mechanic in game for people to be able to waste tons of plat for no chance for reward, after all it is a game right and I don't know how much fun a person would consider it to loose tons of plat thinking SOE wouldn't do such a thing.Just put a limit on it or something, or after 50 tries you get to kill the merchant and take all his stuff

It's kind of like the clothing of Imperceptible Beauty from the live event. A couple guildies and myself were looking at the vendor list of neat stuff in the dressing room. They both said they loved the Imperceptible Beauty items. I thought something was wrong with my dressing room because the items didn't show up on my character when trying them on. They got a good laugh out of that one, then I paid a little closer attention to the name of the item. Pretty funny.

Okay I understand the need to recycle the in game plat. But for those of us who don't buy it and actually have to work our tails off to get it...and then you sink that much into it?..Come on..a limit at the very least! But I do like the idea of appearance items or house items..I'd spend my life savings on House items.!! Which is why I can't afford to buy from this merchant or play the gambling game either..lol...I also don't like ppl who find anything to complain about as someone else stated. However, sometimes it takes a different perspective to make you understand there are always at least two sides to every view!

No-one compared EQ2 races to real life cultures or used derogatory terms (other than you and your Romani people reference).Yes, the term "gip" or "gyp" originated from stereotypes of gypsies, but the term has evolved in modern English language to simply mean that you were cheated or were a victim of fraud.

Not to mention the approx 30pp you'll get solo questing a single character from 70 to 80.Most of the plat I currently have came from when I farmed instances duoing on my bruiser in T7, while my fury was auto following and hitting HoT's, I was able to solo four instances a day, (Nest, Poet's, Acadechism, Den of the Devourer), and I made about 15-20pp a day. Any class at 80 (and it is reasonable to assume that you are since you're complaining about RE stuff) can solo any T7 instance that still con's at least green (almost all of them) and get plat easily.

Our tank last night on the last pull, told us to stay back. He walked into the room and ripped open the box at the main boss. Needless to say, he still died pretty fast. But it was a good laugh.

The Roma people are decendant of people who left India just over 1000 years ago. They should not be confused with Irish Travellers who are also typically labeled Gypsies in common practice.
