Ok, so my last posts were kinda redundant and subjective, but here is a valid question: How many different mounts are in EQ2? Are there different color choices as well? And also, what are the prices of the various mounts? Are there epic mounts or class specific mounts? And lastly, when can I expect to get a mount, or what is a realistic level that most people get mounts? I remember that at launch, mounts were wayyy too much and only high level players had them...is this still true or has this changed? Thanks

There's a stickied thread in the Items and Equipment forum all about mounts. It lists them, shows the effects a mount applies, displays how the mount looks, and states the required money/status/guild level.

Here you go > http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=347452

Mounts have not been catered to lower levels than they were at launch. Having said that, around 50 (launch level cap) is still a good goal to shoot for if you are looking to buy a mount. There are several mounts that are cheaper if you have status to spend on them. Don't expect the fastest mount in the world, but you can get a 45% mount at a good deal with the right amount of status. Run writs or do HQs to get the status for them, but I have never heard of someone that was hard pressed for status. Go to South Qeynos (if you are good) and find the stables. You can hold ctrl and click on the items to see what they look like when you are riding them and you can scope out the prices. A lot of classes out there have speed enhancement options as AA abilities; especially priests and scouts. I only have a mount for one of my characters as my ranger and fury are fast enough without one.

One other option, if you happen to enjoy tradeskilling, is the Earring of the Solstice, from the TS epic quest. It gives you 45% runspeed and stacks with some items and abilities. You need to be a level 80 TSer.

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Artisan_Epic_Timeline
