View Full Version : Help with writing a macro!

Hi all, I'm writing a few songs and stories for an upcoming guild event. I've got a small problem though. When I've tried to plug it as a macro, it's not working properly... For example, I understood that if you wanted to write a macro to say, 'Greetings, <insert name>!' followed by 'How are you today?', you would write the macro thus:/s Greetings, %T! ; s How are you today? When I've tried that, my character says, 'Greetings, SoandSo! ; s How are you today?' Rather loses the flavour, eh? Has something changed? What am I doing incorrectly? Thanks a million in advance! Anordil

Man I used to have this all memorized. I'm at work now, and would love to help you, but have forgotten the macro lingo at the moment and better not guess and give you wrong info. Hopefully somebody else here can help you out.

Can just make the two lines two different commands on the macro. In the macro editor you can choose to add multiple elements, as in a "command", "equip", "use". Just have one command with /say Greetings %t! - then insert a second command with /say How are you today?

The multiple commands on one line was a bug, and was removed a couple of months ago. You do have more lines available now in a macro though.
