View Full Version : GU45 Alignment Glitch - Fixed in GU46 but does NOT resolve over-all issue

<p><u>GU45 Problem...</u> I was unable to find the 2nd NPC For the Qeynos Based world Event.  knew there was a toon in Gorowyn offering up the 2nd part from what I reading in chat channel and /guild. I ran over and completed the EVIL Quest <b>Bring on the Blight</b>. I immediately noticed something wasnt right after i started working on the quest.. example being that I was the 1st person on that portion of the quest, i got the potions to use in the zone and I did not discover the item, my evil guildie was 2nd in line behind me to hail, and she got the same items id did.. but SHE got the discovery, another bug gone live.  Of course I petitioned to try to have it remedied to have the previous quest/flags removed from my journal so I could do the correct good aligned quest <b>Blight on the Horizon.  </b>They told me there was nothing that could be done, but to not worry and all future updates would allow me to work on the good aligned quests as intended. (WRONG)</p><p><u>GU46 Problem...</u>After doing the quest I copied my Live toon over to the Test Copy Server.  I ran into an NPC in EL who offered me quest <b>Tempests of Mystery</b>.. he sent me off to Freeport to find a book.. whilst in the middle of doing this I though.. hrm I wonder if this is good or evil quest (oh no.. not again.) So I stopped my progression on test and camped out.  I camped out to a regular test toon I had made a while back.  So I took my Test Server toon out to EL and he couldnt get the quest from the same person my other good toon did.  RED FLAG HERE.  I found another npc who offered  this new toon the quest <b>Storms of Mystery</b> the good aligned quest.  </p><p>GU46 fixed the issue of GU45 where a player could do quest of opposite alignment. BUT where does that put us people who goofed. I am going to be forced to do evil alligned quests now ? Not cool.What happens when/if the progression gets to a  point where only Evil Alligned players can enter a zone and here I am a Good toon, with evil questline flag.   So yeah. I'm pretty peaved that no one is assisting.  So I thought I would share my experiences here.  I tried all of this on test not even 12 hours ago from posting this.  I hope they revert back to any alignment being able to start the good or evil quest like all other previous ones.  </p><p>Anyone else had this problem?   I don't like not being able to progress on a long term World/Live event as intended.  What is to say this may or may not end up changing the way the "end" game or even will work for me.  I can't even get a chance at discoveries in the questline I'm forced to work on now.  This saddens me to think about it.</p>

<p>No worries, Davus.  GU46 event quests are not given based upon previous GU quest accomplishements.  It's given based upon current city alignment.</p>

Wow Kaitheel that is great to hear...  However It did not work that way when I tested my copied Test Toon earlier yesterday.  I hope this is soon to be fixed.

If you are Evil you will need to talk to the Arcane Science Apprentice.  </p><p>Unfortunetly, the Evil version of the quests seems to be way easier to find and since they have a feather over their heads  ... *shrug* </p><p>Off hand the only good ones I know for sure are .. in ANT: hidden by Fippy's Hill (left from NQ) and CL: close to the Wizard Spires.</p>

There's a Concordium Pupil Adept (good) in Darklight Wood by the first camp out of Hate's Envy. An Evil Apprentice is closer to Hate's Envy. Another Evil Apprentice is in the Sprawls.The Good starter in Greater Faydark is on the Beach by the Nursery.Check out the starting areas for the quest starters and the nasties are all over the map(s) ))
