As the title suggests, I come from SWG where I played since launch. I also played EQ2 from launch for several months but being in m senior year of college at the time, had to set some priorities and EQ2/SWG etc. didn't fair so well in the final analysis of how to most productively spend my time.

So here I am back to take part in SOE's most generous offer!

Before I delve into what appears to be a great guide and FAQ stickied here that explains what has changed since the launch version of EQ2 I remember so fondly, I wanted to say that your community is not alone in lacking player numbers. I have read only a handful of responses to the Living Legacy promo but if you came from SWG where out of all of our servers maybe 2 or 3 are fairly populated at any given time, this kind of attention being paid to *any* game is certainly a positive thing since in my estimation since full servers are happy servers!

I hope to get to know some folks in EQ2 and forge some new friendships after having an empty friend's list for the year or better in the other game and am really looking forward to taking this classy game for another ride around the track. Having also been a public beta and launch EQ veteran, I've always had a love for the world of Norrath and that includes experiencing it in EQ2 also.

Hope to see some of you in-game and since the toons I left behind on this account were so low-level, I suppose I might just start fresh on another server if someone could reply to this post and let me know what would be a fairly populated EQ2 server to roll on with a good RP and guild community to support it.

May the legacy be with you!

Edit: my first post here please be kind!

The most popular server seems to be Antonia Bayle (also RP). Another thought would be to create a character in what will be your "prime playtime" and check the server loads... just be careful as there are PvP, PvE, RP and Exchange servers. I would hate for you to be on a server that you didnt want to be on... lolWelcome bacK!

i miss my firespray and space. necromancer is kinda sorta like CH only without the fun and variation of harvesting your own creatures. the aa is more like old school profession choice than the SWG aa, but its still not as much fun as pre-cu/pre-nge. but eq2 is way better than current swg, so welcome aboard and enjoy the better of SOE's current games.

I played on Chilastra and my main's name is Luier. Whats left of swg is heartbreaking and sometimes I think soe did it on purpose to get everyone on eq2 but who really knows.

I left after NGE, it was a nightmare. They literally stabbed the game in the heart, fed it poison, then gave us the skeleton to play with....Well thats what it felt like, LOL.

Welcome back, kidzulu! Well, if you choose the Bazar server, I look forward to meeting you. For the most part, a good group of folks. If you're a "good" character, give Quaichyang an I.M. and I'll be glad to help you out! If you're "evil," I'll do what I can to help you find your appropriate and early demise! Either way, good fun!

Bring dwarven ales, if you show up!
