I've only had a few hours to test the changes but here are my first impressions:Possess Essence dps seems to be around 200dps vs a charmed mobs 300+ dps. +/- 50 dps depending on the mob type.My dps was mostly around 800 with occasional 950 with no resists and perfect timing. (gear is 72 mastercrafted with fens jewelry and most spells adpt3, 90 or so AA's. )I didn't get to try out pvp since I play on the "I am Legend" oops.... I mean Venekor server.Things to tweak:*Possess Essence needs +5m range and -1 second casting time. 3 out 4 times a mob would walk out of range while trying to cast it.*The new Auspex line (where you cast a buff on someone else to do melee damage) needs to work out of combat like the Ill version. It reacts very weird if you open a fight with a mez or root.

possess essence is really long range I think and it's cataclismic mind which is a buff you cast on a group member or yourself and you can cast it before fight. The problem is that now those 3 procs break mezzes .. but well, they proc a lot faster and not having anymore thoughstones is just great.the problem with root is that with your procs you damage so much in so little time that the root breaks easily ... too easily, but usually with our new burst dps, the mob is dead before reaching you.

This is nothing new, we have always had to be careful.

Possess Essence USED to be long range it got nerfed down to 20m so you gotta kiss the mob to essence it.

The short range does make me a bit nervous, but I only caught agro once while casting it last night and that was because the mob started pathing toward me during the cast. You just have to be mindful of your surroundings. If you're noticed just mezz 'em. Of course by then you might as well charm it instead. *hehe*

That being said I wouldn't turn down a longer range and shorter cast time.

I dont think anyone said anything about using a pet in group/raid here.If you mean spec'ing WIS .. I think that solo spec should include the WIS line for the subj boost. Even in groups it helps to land your CC spells without worry on yellow mobs.

Personally, I found the WIS spec excellent for solo activity and, in many groups, very helpful. It should be noted, however, that I was in the habit of keeping a charmed pet up at pretty much all times in my groups but I understand that's not the norm. Regardless, if we don't get the range extended a bit--which I think we'd all prefer--Daydream's new use with Possess Essence does lend some extra use to the WIS line, balancing it a bit against the other lines.

I should qualify my comments by saying that while I'm a daily reader of the forums, I've not played regularly since January when the Coercer frustration got too frustrating. But then, at least, prior to the pet nerf, the WIS line had some definite benefits (including DPS, I might add) that couldn't be dismissed out of hand. That's probably less true now, I admit, but the WIS spec does provide an answer to the range issue for those who are willing to consider something other than the standard AGI/INT spec.

Raiding? Well, that's a different story altogether and one I'm not qualified to comment on, I'm afraid.

I don't think my dps is all that low anymore. I don't have to worry about mez resists much at all since changing from AGI to WIS. And what raid utility did I lose by losing AGI? Um.. my cast times are slightly longer without Perpetuity and Chronosiphoning, but. . . is that really raid utility? Or do you think I should be AGI/STA/INT for the dehates + crit heals in the STA line?

Admittedly, I don't really raid and just barely dinged 72 today, so I'm not really worried about it either way, but I really am curious as to what you feel I'm giving up by going with WIS instead of AGI or STA?
