Black Screen in Kylong Plains

<p>     Hello, After the recent patch, I'm having an issue when zoning into Kylong Plains.  The zone loads up just fine, but when I enter it, everything but my UI is just a black screen.  I can open windows, inventory, talk in guild chat etc, but the screen is black no matter what I do.  </p><p>    I've tried deleting files, running full scans, I've even uninstalled and did a fresh install but to no avail.  The weird thing is, I can zone into Timorous Deep just fine.  Everything looks great.  I'm not sure about other Kunark zones yet though.</p><p>   I realize others may have this issue as well, I'm thinking it's something with the recent patch.  Any help/information would be great.</p><p> Thank you!</p><p>-Jjet</p>

You may want to delete the cache folder,  eq2_recent.ini, eq2_default.ini, EverQuest2.exe and all files named after the character with which you're having this issue.The character specific files will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.iniTo do this please follow these directions:1. First look for your EverQuest II directory. You can find the directory in the default directory:2. Click on MY COMPUTERC<img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />RIVEPROGRAM FILESSONYEVERQUEST II3. Next look for any files explained above and delete them. 4. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.

<p>    Ahh, tried all that and still nothing, I know others are having the same problem as well.  I have a direct download version of the game, windows vista, and an 8800 ultra video card.  Maybe there are some conflicting issues?  The game worked fine before the recent patch, maybe something got corrupted.  Could it possibly be that I installed to a different folder then defaulted?  Any information would be great, thanks.</p><p>Edit: When trying to zone in, I get a crash.  It says my EQ2 Client Application has stopped working. My char is now stuck in KP! Help! </p>
