The answer to your question is: Yes, EQ2 will run well on Direct X 10. However, it will not take advantage of any of the new features DX10 offers.

(***crickets chirping***)</p></blockquote>In short - No. directX 10 is the first release that MS has decided NOT to support backwards compatiblity natively in the package. That is why a subset of Directx 9 - called DirectX 9EX is included in Vista, DX10 does not have the compatility bits in the API's to that an application will set. directx 10 is Vista only, there are some undergound packages that are attempting to get it to run on XP, but the only supported OS is Vista.
