After raiding the kunark raid instances for the first time i really got to ask this stupid question again. Is Wis line so much more dps than dual wielding?

We had 4 brigands including me, and one of the wis specced Brigs had roughly 1k more avg. DPS than me. I got 4, 4, 8 in Stamina for the extra HP.

Im currently wearing those 2 weapons but im really considering trying out the wis line. Btw all brigs were in the same grp, we had a dirge with us. Im not sure if the Furys DPS buff can make such a big difference in DPS.

Can only speak from my own experience - my brigand's build atm is:-str: 7,8,4,8,1 -agi: 6,4,4,8,1-int:2I try to get more int.But I tend to solo a lot as well (hence agi line). It is good to have some int to boost the poison dmg. I on avarage dps rougly around 1.5 k, with my shadow axe, axe of the shadowbeast weapons.I was specced to wisdom, when I was using only 1 weapon (not dual wield).Hope this helps.

You have some really good weapons...so maybe Wis could be worth a shot...but reading all the forums it seems that procs don't go as much with that line. If you wanna go for pure DPS, I would go for:

STR: 4/6/4/8/2

AGL:4/6/4/8/2

INT:4/4

The extra points could be put to increase the damage of the CA's

Again that is optimal DPS spec...not optimal solo or tank spec...

Great post which I think deserves more attention. I have been thinking about the Wis line more and more lately.

I have tried the Wis line a few times and my gut tells me that my DPS was higher by a fair margin with it. I have not done any testing and was using the dirk of negativity (lvl 70 weapon with a damage rating of 82.0 or so).

Clearly my weapon was not ideal (a bit low in damage and a timer that is far to fast), yet when I would solo mobs in ROK with just auto attack I would burn them down very fast. That is, seemingly faster than with any other spec, including Str, Agil and Intel.

Perhaps some folks will do some testing with the Wis line and a solid weapon, so we can determine if it is really worth its salt.

A spec I have been thinking about going with for max DPS.

Please tell me what u all think (Note that I am in a pvp server, so putting 2 final points in Agil is important for casting time, but others might feel they are better spent in Str for Dps):

Str 4,4,4,8

Agil 4,6,4,8,2

Wis 4,4,4,8

Intel 4,1

For max dps on raids what CA sequences should be performed?

How much do those end abilities actually do?I decided to go with str first. After using that end ability a few times I did not notice much of a difference. I respeced, filled up str til melee crit boost then started on agility. After getting walk the plank I don't really see much more in that line thats worth much. I mean how extra damage does that backstab bonus actually do?Now I've just been adding str and agi and boosting walk the plank.

If you wanna maximize DPS then an extra CA is an extra CA.....+ if you hit thw wis line and double attack 77% of the time(or close)...then might as well make it hit which is why coule is important.
There are two schools of thought and it all depends on the gear you have. 1. Wis Line - Going Double attack with a hard hitting weapon, Like Natshia(sp?) short sword out of COA Get some Haste, some Double attack gear, add some to your skills so your sure to hit more and hit the mob like a truck. 2. Agi Line - Going Dual wield with two good weapons, but have to be close to same delay to time CA's right. Get some Haste, some Crit Gear Can one duplicate the same dps as another?? Yea, if you have the same gear, and the same group buffs. So depending on your luck, and what you have been able to win in groups/raids depends on which you should go with.
