I asked this on another forum and I was told I had better chances getting an answer on this forum.

I have 12 plat on a Qeynos character and I want to make a Freeport character now. How can I send the money over to the new (evil) side character? I know sending mail to oppisite side doesnt work, but is there some other way like I was thinking, if there was a neutral auction house where I can sell something with my evil character for 12 plat and the good side character buys it... or something?

Anyone know? I really want to get this money over to the other side.

You can betray the character over to Freeport. Keep the money in your bank until you are citizen of Freeport.

That is pretty much the only way to safely get the money from one city to the other. There are no transfer options. No neutral area. If you carry it on you, you will lose it to the first person to kill you.

Here's how to do it:1. Make sure the fence in CL is up, you can check that easily by asking a guard for waypoint to the NPC. I also believe the broker in Gorowyn shows both cities, though I'm not 100% sure. Go to one of these places with your Freeport aligned toon, and camp out. (Remember that you need to be level 10 to use the CL fence.)2. Buy fuel worth 12p and put it up for sale for a few copper (at least 2 copper, or else you risk it showing up on front page), then quickly log over your Freeport alt and buy all of it. There is a small risk involved with this, but it FAR less time consuming than betraying an alt over. Alternatively, get a friend to stand by at either CL fence or Gorowyn and be ready to buy your fuel as soon as you put it up for sale in Qeynos. With this method, the risk is near 0.

There is still a broker fee when you are selling the fuels from Qeynos to your Freeport toon and the broker market for the black market is actually 40% instead of 20%. If the Freeport character is a brand new character it will have no money so it is more advisable to be willing to pay the broker cost with your established character to get the money to the brand new character.

Alright, here's some math for you then:If you buy something from Freeport through fence, the broker fee is 40%. So if you just put something up for sale in Freeport to have your Qeynos alt buy for 12pp, you will need to take into consideration when you set the price. Approximately 3.5pp would be lost to broker fee. But if you instead put 6 stacks of T8 fuel for a few copper each up on Qeynos broker for the Freeport aligned character to buy, this entire transaction will cost less than 1 gold. Why are we still discussing this?

Um...because if the guy wants to give the money to his brand new character and not have to spend a bunch of time questing and farming to get that 1g he can just blow the broker cost on his established character and twink away before he ever has to fight a single thing. Plus, I am feeling argumentative because work sucks this morning.

If you have so much money that you're perfectly willing to throw away almost 4p to broker fees, rather than spend 10 minutes doing a few quests to get a few gold to buy those fuels, can I have some? Seriously, I'm dead broke. I promise I'll put it to better use than the broker too.

I don't have that kind of pp, personally. I, also, can't fathom having enough pp to just give 12pp to an alt. My awesome, bitter, cranky side today says if you have enough pp to transfer 12pp to an alt you have enough pp to waste on broker fees. Or you are buying pp and there is no reason you couldn't just buy a couple more. =^.^=Of course, if you were buying pp you could just have it delivered to your alt in FP rather than to your Qeynos character, which would make more sense but still if you have enough to just give an alt 12pp you probably have enough to cover the broker cost and are less likely to have someone else buy your cheap stuff.

Yay, I am so totally coherent today. This is what I get to staying up and watching the LSU/OSU game last night.

Do what amph suggested. I'm making up numbers because i'm not logged in atm, but with your high-money character buy 10pp in fuels at 1g a pop (i dunno what t8 fuels are), that's 1000 fuels. Broker them for 2cp apiece, buy them in the other city paying 1cp each in broker fees (totaling 10s), which means your alt needs just 30s. If they don't have 30s, buy 1 of the fuels for 3cp, sell it and voila, you have 1gp. Re-sell the fuels for the same price and you have 10pp.

People use acronyms everywhere it is possible, so you'll see that a lot when you talk to other players, and in the channels. Just ask a guard for directions to the fence NPC - if the fence is up, he will point and there will be a red dot on your map if it is up. If it's not, there is a quest that requires you to kill one Qeynosian and pay 5g to open it up, but if you are totally broke you might as well go try Gorowyn instead. To get there, you'll probably need to travel to Butcherblock. We Qeynosians use the carpet to Sinking Sands and then Butcherblock from there, but I think doing this will only lead you to Darklight Woods if you are from Freeport? So here's a suggested alternative route, but I don't play on the evil side, so for all I know there might be a faster way than this:Commonlands - Nektulos docks - boat to Butcherblock. You will need to stand on the edge of the docks in Nektulos and wait there until the boat shows up, this may take up to 5 minutes. When you arrive in Butcherblock, go down the beach until you see a camp full of Sarnaks, hail the griffon trainer and off to Gorowyn you go. The broker is just around the corner when you get there. This is not really an auction, it's just a broker. And it is not in any way neutral.. what you are doing is buying stuff from the "enemy", which is why they made it kinda awkward. If you use the fence, you will only see goods from Qeynos. In Gorowyn, you should be able to see both, but that is irrelevant - what you want, is to see the fuel you put up from your Qeynosian alt. 12pp is quite a lot of cash, btw, and worth getting to the side you prefer to play on. As I never played in Freeport, I do not remember the name of the Freeport fence NPC, so you will have to ask someone else about that. Hope this helped. (Tho I'll admit I'm a little curious how you got 12pp without knowing what CL means or how the broker works )
