... a complete pvp mechanics rewamp. everytime they try to fix one issue they completely unbalance game - i have a feeling that pvp was way better back then when we could flee by zoning, you wasnt dragged in combat by basically anything, there were not overpovered melee weapons, migitation/resists meant something (not talking about outright resists) etc etc

Summoners pets were buggd and killed people in 1s or less, scouts were virtually unkillable, and a skilled brig could kill off 4 people on his very own. His debuffs would strip everyone but the most inanely geared tanks of all mit resists, casters could not pvp in t7 because of broken resists (andquite a lot of other issues up there that actually gave rise to us first few level lockers), mentoring exploits made game into cheats-on-wheels, and all kinds of fun stuff.

Nah.

The problem with this game isnt really the ruleset. ITs the people playing it.You can never make a ruleset that stops people from being pricks and [Removed for Content], cheats and hacks. There will always be a way for them to thrive in a system that is even just a little complex. And a pvp system ithout complexity might just as well be a run-of-the-mill FPS game.

Another thing why the complete rewrite is not good is that people are used to the current system. the ones that really hated it already left. Us still around kinda likes it for what it is, despite the bugs, annoying kinks and so on. IF the revamp it completely, those of us that like what is now, and dont like what it becomes will leave,a nd you can bet your [Removed for Content] that the ones that left earlier wont come back.

Yeah revamp is the way to go, we can only hope they revamp it as well as they did SWG.

I have not played a level 80 toon on PvP yet, however from what I have seen thus far. It seems pretty fair, no I do not like loosing, no one does, that does not mean that things are broke though.
