coercers are the master's of mental debuffs! At lvl 20 a coercer could probably strip about 1500 off mental resist! Sorry, have to say it, but learn, or equip your class properly.

your mez should be able to cast even while stunned. Also, maybe on pve servers you guys don't worry as much about +subj items as we do. Dirges only have two stuns, one which isn't always reliable. Also, on pve servers you probably don't worry as much about preparing your characters for pvp as much as we would, i.e. going down aa lines that are good for pvp, and not necessarly good for pve. As I had posted earlier, I was just using lvl 20 as an example, but even in tier 8, coercers, assuming they have the time, can still land some nasty debuffs.

Dirge's are one of coercer's easiest classes. Our reactives hit for way more than there Spells/CA's do. just get them on and you could pretty much sit back if he's 4 levels lower.

Your foremost issue is the one that Dark had brought up. PvE and PvP have way different rulesets and of course like Splintered said ( where the heck you been hiding !?!?!??! ) the gearing up of your characters will be totally different than what would benefit you in a fight vs another character.

The competition on a PvP server is off the hook in comparrison to PvE. Alot of the items or spells that are considered useless on PvE are an enormous benefit on PvP as well as some of the skills and spells are adapted to interact with PvP so a simple interupt or stun ISN'T always simple as well as not being stuck standing there trading blows with each other within an imaginary ring. We use the whole world and the terrain etc.... Its really more complex than simply being able to kill another PC on a PvP server.

my coercer is only 36 but I'd say single target mez, if resist aoe mez, but its important to get a mez to stick get them adept3 or m1 if u canonce a mez sticks drop psyche debuff and your reactives sybillant, lash, etc.The chance of draining the entire power bar of another class with an in combat regen buff is slim so dont waste time just trying to drain. After the mez breaks silence him and stack every DOT you have. The point of the silence is that while you stack DOT's he has only his auto attack which will wreck him because of your reactive sybillant line. He can either stand there and take your DOT's and DD's if you use those or try to fight but either way silence is hell.Watch your sustained effects window when silence begins to break you need to drop your longest duration stun. After the first stun you want to try to root him. Anything to keep his melee CA's off you. Get some range while he is rooted. Also during the root just let the DOT's tick away if they havnt yet. Stick to your interrupt DD over and over during the root to lessen break chance while limiting his damage and make sure your reactives that hurt him for using power and casting spells/ca's are on him as well as sybillant because its very likely your root will break. If you survive that period of time relying on root for around 11 seconds you should be able to stun again for around 3.5 so its been what...25 seconds or so since your last mez and I think you can mez again after 30?thats the best I can think of for a dirge. Also I would dare say your not getting resisted a billion times because he is dirge, its cause all the mage classes right now in PVP get resisted likes its their job.Its eally incredibly compared to melee. My 15 bruiser can actually land app1 CA's on a 24 fury but my 36 coercer cant land adept3 spells on a 31 defiler.
