When my son's were 6 and 9 their father took them to a jewelry store on Christmas Eve to pick up my gift. The boys waited outside for their dad. The jewelry store was housed in part of what at one time had been a family grocery store that had fallen to the chain stores. Outside the door there had been a ramp with two metal poles to protect the ramp. My 9 year old, being the sweet big brother he was, convinced his little brother to lick the pole. Of course he tongue stuck and when he pulled it off the top layer of his tongue stuck to the pole. For the next two days my youngest son spoke with a lisp and could barely eat anything. It has taken 20 years but he has forgiven his brother. The odd thing was that to my knowledge neither of my sons had seen the Christmas Story movie.Zoo

The greatest Christmas movie ever. I usually make time to watch the 24 hours of it...well sleep in front of most of it of course, but you get the idea.

<p>Got another one for ya.</p><p>During the 'Saving Frostfell' quest you have to talk to a gobby by giving him 10s and pulling his arm. He replies by giving the location of the Scoogle HQ and giving the passcode.</p><p>The passcode is part of the very first cheat code for console games: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right (all that's missing is the A B Start <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</p>

I really don't like the Christmas Story movie. I think it's absolutely horrible.

I got a laugh out of the Frostfell tree and wreath quests. You need to obtain greivence poles from burynai's practicing feats of strength. ala the Festivus celebration from Frank Costanza in Sienfeld. With the Festivus pole, the airing of grievences and the feats of strength being a part of the celebration.

It's the beginning of the cheat code for Contra which was one of my favorite Nintendo Games.Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, SELECT, START is one of them. Their are a bunch of similar ones with different endings and even some with a couple of beginning changes.<b>For more info see</b> --> The Konami Code <a rel="nofollow" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_Code" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konami_Code</a>I wonder how many people knew it was from Contra.
