Wow I am extremely disappointed, I am still at work and was really looking forward to getting home and trying out the new Frostfell content but from everything I have read this year it is EXACTLY the same as last year. Just like the Halloween content was this year. How difficult could it possible be to put in some new or different content? Why is SOE not bothering anymore?

If there hadn't been anything new this year, I too would be disappointed, but thankfully there is some new holiday content with GU 41, just as the update notes state and that has been covered in many threads in the testing forums. New quests, tradeskill goods, city decorations, and that even includes 2 new snowglobes.

Enjoy the festivities, and happy Frostfell!

I don't have a problem with them keeping snowglobes - afterall some players are new to Norrath and would like to get the items...BUT...I would like it if they acknowledged that many of us have been here since the beginning and have been there / done that over...and over...and over...

So getting something other than snowglobes would be a nice way to reward those of us who've been around as loyal customers

....Or heck, just give me the option of getting coin instead of another snowglobe if nothing else *cry*.

I personally like the fact that the content does not expire for those who werent playing last year to enjoy, etc but that content gets added. It might be just me, as I only glanced at lunch at the update but it seems the holiday decorations placed around the city are different. Same theme but the graphics look different. More vibrant colors, larger candy canes near the zone ins, etc.And on this note -
....Or heck, just give me the option of getting coin instead of another snowglobe if nothing else *cry*.

You know you can sell them on the broker right?

Who would ever buy one? Hasn't almost everyone got one by now? Besides, it's apparent you'll be able to get one next year for free if you just wait.

Personally, I havent a clue but apparently people do. I sold a few of my extras for plat last year. Some people are very serious collectors. /shrugI guess its all in speculation that you might not be able to get them next year and then what?? OMG - your collection is 2 snowglobes shy of frostfell picnic

It is me tight-wad family that gave me my collection, and how in the world they did not know that I was aware they were FREEBIES is beyond me!

I am just now off to cook up some more goodies.

Pathetica

Words can not describe my disappointment in the recycled Frostfell event...At least its better then the totally recycled halloween event...We got a bunch of new recipies... So Dom is definately doing her job...And to say we got TWO new snow globes this year just makes my want to cry...Last year we had like 12 new ones... year before we had 8 or so music boxes... this year... two new snow globes...

This is a Travesty! I thought I would wait to get home and see it for myself before I posted a reply to the developer here ... Now that I have seen it, I am even more disenchanted. I went to get my "present" only to get a message that I already had the fae globe he was trying to give me (from last year) and to come back tomorrow (I assume this will happen nearly every day). I cant do McScroogle's quest either because apparently I did it last year. I ran around for about 15 minutes trying to see if there was anything new or different and besides one quest that takes you to EoF and a couple of recipies I could find nothing different.... I keep hearing people say that SOE does not care about the veteran players and I never really believed it until i saw both the Halloween and Christmas content this year. How very very disappointed I am...

Thank you for completely ruining an event I have so loved and looked forward to every year.

You may remedy this by making sure all yer snowglobes are placed in houses which remove them (they are lore) from your "inventory."

Pathetica

..........And I have to add that I so tried to give some feedback on this event especially with the quest that gives that Cloak on Test. I have now realized though that us veterns players can't even do the quest so that's even worse for I was thinking we could but only to get the same cloak. BAH UM BUG

I wanted to be able to do all the quest's this year but maybe have different rewards this year for us vets. I do truely love the new recipes added but I do have a question though is how come we still have the recipes for Christmas hearth's but the older versions of the snowmen's & presents where they were big got changed to the tiny ones instead? I mean shouldn't they of not been merged with the tinnies ones for they were different in size? Also some of new items this year don't have stats like last year so was that over sight or intentional?

I do love the zone and not sure if you can really get tired of it as long as it is revamped some with new content and rewards. I think content seems fair (new recipes) but the rewards are lacking this year especially for us vets. Globes and more Globes is much and the quest reward from one new added is lacking for all that is involved with it if you ask me.

I mean, if you want to make the items this year different that's great, but it's so very not cool to go and change the things we had from last year. The repeated snowglobes are bad enough.
