View Full Version : Stupid Portal

Well I'm questing in BB, killin emerald drakes, when a freep decides to take advantage on the fact that I'm engaged in combat(cant blame him for that). Since I'm already down to bout 1/2 nrg and kinda hurt, I decide to use Portal(evac for wizzy). To my surprise the second Portal casts, I get locked into pvp. My mount speed bonus disappears and I cant cast portal again cause I'm pvp locked. Of course I die cause I got a drake and a freep beatin on me. I rez, find the freep, and own him but that's beside the point. I don't like to complain bout losin in pvp, but I cant understand why my evac did what it did. Anyone else have this problem? Let me know if there's something I'm missing...

Its a bug. Or an exploit, depending on your point of view. /yell first (to break the npc engagement) next time and evac s/b ok. Notice I say "s/b" because its just a theory.

I do have a ward buff. Wards against like 32dmg or something like that. That's all it takes to lock me into pvp? Weird. Either way I guess I shoulda just stood and fought considering how fast he died when I found him the 2nd time. Not really upset by the lose cause it was kinda my fault lol. Just wanted to know what locked me. Thx for the heads up. Didn't know that's all it took to lock you into pvp. I think that ward might have option for only pve, so I'll check it out.
