View Full Version : Level locked PvP XP makes zero sense

What is the point of this idea? So that the people complaining about level locked players can be repeativily ganked by the same people at level 80. This will be the outcome to the game on all the PvP servers. Just like it is on VoX and any other DEAD PvP servers ON ANY MMO. Its something that happened to SWG, Vanguard, and many other S.O.E. related or non related titles. Sure let the nerds play together, at their high tiers. LOL you are the people that the general people make fun of and call losers in real life. Because all you do is level grind for months and raid for years. FOR WHAT? WASTE OF A LIFE...Its much easier to level 26 AA at level 17 than it is 140AA at level 80. Simple math...

On a final note:

S.O.E. do what you want, but my guildmates and myself will not be paying $30 a month w/ the station pass to play EQ 2. BTW, I dont even play any of the other titles in your line of MMO, because S.O.E. has managed to screw them all up. What was once a great game Star Wars Galaxy, became the BIGGEST BUST in MMO history with Vanguard. This not an intended insult to S.O.E., just the facts and a cauction to the future of S.O.E.'s best ever MMO title, EQ 2. I know this the game that pays for the lights, the servers, the maintainence, and the paychecks to S.O.E. and it's employees.

Ronen / Nickola Cannon Fodder - Nagafen server The Daddy of the PvP servers

So true SOE has messed up every game they've hosted up to the present date. I've played every game SOE has come out with so far except for Matrix, and yes they have screwed up every one of them. The ban on pvp locking hasnt even gone live yet, and people have already started to cancel their accounts. So far my guild has lost one player because of it, and has the potential to lose even more. Yes these players do have T7 plug toons, but also like to play T2 pvp. SOE should just give those who cant handle pvp the opportunity to move their toons to a blue server instead of doing away with level locking.

If you talk with these T 2/3 players(w/ lvl 70-80... each one of these players have been playing the game for years. Let alone the EQ1 title as well. They all, HANDS down, recommend PvP in t2 as the best overall PvP tier when it comes to skill, non hackers/exploiters, and most importantly the FUN factor. When I first joined this game, everyone I knew who had end game toons> After end game, they all played their t2 and t3 pvp toons over 80% of their time in the game..despite having a large x3 raid of 70's to support the raid/pvp cause.

These players can cancel their accounts.. there are many new players and/or players just new to PvP who will stick around to compensate for those canceled subscriptions.Edit: One more thing to add before somebody even attempts to defend this mythical "T2 pvp" that supposedly is so much fun. I have three twinks.. fully loaded with MC and Adept 3 spells. I run on them daily and can barely get the attention of anyone from the opposite faction within PvP range. And, when I attack.. they run like little girls for the zone out. Wow all those people were playing on the only server? Wow i had no idea that one server dictated what was the norm everywere? Someone needs to tell SOE that if it dont happen on your server it dont happen.

Even if what you say is true and there is good T2 PvP on your server. There was a problem on other servers and it needed to be addressed or they would have left it. If that affects your fun im sorry your not the only people here and if you cant deal? Well dont let the hit you were the good lord split you on the way out.

If SOE is so bad and you already know how bad they are at "Breaking" games why were you paying them? Me personnally i like what SOE has done allong with quite a few others. You some how think you are more important? Everyone has a right to have fun and if SOE really thinks this is the way for MORE people to have more fun then thats what there going to do.

If you really think you can do it so much better make your own game and maybe ill play that when SOE buys it. Till then you can play or not your choice. You want to complain /feedback till your blue in the face but attacking others here? Thats just silly

Its sad to see soo many closed minded level lockers that think PVP combat XP = bad.

You will slowly level with the same people you have been locked with. You will go to new locations and get your new class defining abilities to use in combat. Who says you have to rush to end game? I never once locked combat XP on any of my toons and I never had a problem killing people in pvp. Max AA points do make your character more powerful but skill greatly outweighs AA points. The higher level you are, the more hitpoints you have to compensate for lack of the best gear giving people a better chance at winning a fight.

I'm sure sony knew people would cry about this change but they know for a fact t2 level lockers are making the populations on PVP servers disapear by running out the new players.

BTW I don't raid for gear at end game since there are extremely nice PVP fabled sets. Saying you have to spend months raiding to compete is just ignorant.

Or maybe make the person a temporary exile in effect, allowing both sides to attack them for a time, and if they die during this period the go straight to their home city instead of a revive zone? That way if there's a level 14 of my own side camping the newbie zone, I can send his [I cannot control my vocabulary] back to Qeynos?"
