View Full Version : Innapropriate PvP

I have been seeing a lot of things that really bother me lately on these PvP servers. As some of you may know, I recently created a thread on the all-to-common practice of tea-bagging, but it was removed for being inappropriate.I’ll tell you what I think is inappropriate, deleting a message ABOUT tea-bagging, while letting the actual practice of tea-bagging continue unchallenged... But I digress.Hopefully, I have toned down this thread enough so as not to offend anyone, that was not my original intention at all, and I want to say, that I don’t think tea-bagging should be banned, the original idea behind my post was to show that players should know better than to tea-bag in the first place; they shouldn’t have to rely on some in-game mechanism to stop them from doing that. I wanted to convince these youngsters that there are better ways to conclude a fight, but sadly, the thread was shot down in its prime.I guess it’s just a generational gap issue that we have here. I am 84 years old myself, and I just don’t understand kids these days. When I was young, my friends and I would never have dreamed of tea-bagging anyone, we wouldn’t even have known what the heck tea-bagging was. (“Do you take yours with cream and sugar?” We might have asked.)I tend to think it’s that rock and roll music that they are always listening to, and those so-called “reality” tv shows.Don’t get me wrong, I have done my fair share of shenanigans when I was younger; one time back in ’37 my friend Herman and I mixed up the ingredients of some cookies that Gertrude was baking. Because of us, she used salt instead of sugar. Those were the WORST tasting cookies ever! But I still look back upon those memories with great fondness.Incidentally, I think that there should be a senior citizen discount for players over the age of 65 FTW!

When killing was novel for me I carried on some shenanigans on the corpse. After a couple of full days of playing though, I got used to being in the end zone, and now just flip the ball to the ref. People who do that are newbies is all, they usually get over it too. Or they just suck, and killing is still novel for them. Are you seriously 84? I think its incredibly cool that you are playing eq2. PvP no less.

He arbitrarily only does it in games, and only in specific games. He really doesn't get the rationale behind it either when I ask him about it, considering outside the games where he acts... *ahem* rudely, he's a perfectly fine and respectable person.

So, you see? Even if I say "They're idiots.", it doesn't even necessarily hold much ground, but I'm still more than willing to hold to it and shove it my own friend's face.

I am 807, born Summer of 1202, and think the OP is probably not the age he says he is if he's actually upset enough to be making all these threads about harmless shenanigans in a video game. Further, we used to teabag all the dumb noobs we killed in the Fifth and Sixth Crusades. We didn't care if they were 10 and just outside of their home city for the first time. You're red = you're dead = you have balls on your forehead.

What's mountain dew?

Kust wrote:
What's mountain dew?
I dunno. I drink beer. Lots of it. But, from what I heard its all the rage amongst overweight teens with low self esteems who are in to "tea bagging" in video games. And, their older counter parts who are 30ish adults still living in their mother's basements.I've been tipped off recently that if a Guitar Hero marathon follows an evening of EQ2 PvP it is a result of Entemann's being introduced at some point. XD
