That's a good question! I would like to know this as well. This is my first year back for this event so I am pretty excited. What happens typically in game when this event goes live? I loved the halloween one.

Last year it started on Dec 20.And oh, you'll love Frostfell here. In 2005, they did the Grinch as the storyline. In 2006, they did Scrooge. There's a wardrobe you can enter kind of like entering Narnia in Freeport or Qeynos. Last year there was reigndeer flying around inside the wardrobe and blocks of ice joined by a rainbow. On each block, you could gather "presents". Inside those presents were things you could gather to make other things. Like... golden thread, wrapping paper, etc. Then you went to one of four islands and had your chance to start creating things like giant candy canes and presents. Then you could use those things yourself to decorate your house for Frostfell or just to wear (ex hats).Frostfell in EQ2 is fun even if its just silly.

Sony is always a GRINCH when it comes to the Christmas patch.

I, like many others, are very busy with other things from the 23rd or so until Jan2nd... what with family, travel out of state/country, parties, gifts, eating, football and not even near my PC for a solid week to 10 days period.

Every year I get exicted about frostfell.. and each year they put it in just before Chrismas week, and its gone by Jan 15th. I still have tons of crafting materials on my alts from last year when I ran out of time to play with the patch.

I'm really hoping they get it in this week, since if it goes in next week (it will be a wednesday, regardless), I will only get 2 days to enjoy it before the new year.

Yah I agree.... the 20th is too late. Didn't EQ1's Frostfell stuff start all ready?

Yep... EQ-Live started Frostfell a couple days ago, Vanguard has announced their holiday event, and LoN seems to be having one. Perhaps they are skipping EQ2 this year in favor of LoN? Hope not... I will say that they need to find a balance... in 2005 the Frostfell events gave really, really good xp (maybe too much... I dinged each of the 10 chars I had at the time at least once) and then in 2006 Frostfell was mostly just silly (I found it fun for a bit but was disappointed that there seemed to be no XP at all). I know... I know... some people are never happy. Anyway... here's hope we hear some good news soon.
