Getting to Mon Haoaera?

How do you get to Mon Haoaera - the solo named in Haeora. I have climbed on a series of rocks and peaks but I get to part where there is a big chasm and I can't seem to jump across and get a foothold opposite. Is this another arcade element in this game? Or is there an easier way to get this quest mob without jumping around on mountains?
