Is this a cheat or am I missing something here?

<p>I am oustide of mok rent just across the bridge by the gorillas last night and I spot a blue to my 16 brig, he is hiding near the cliff next to a tree.  Strangling throw, speed up for the usual and I am actually wining (I am not twinked, just quest gear so I was quite suprised) then he turns and runs.  A scout of some sort I was too busy hitting my CA's to catch the buffs and he took off fairly fast.</p><p> Next thing I know he starts running off down and over the hill towards the ruins, so I am chasing and then he is just gone.  I had track up, he is just gone.  I scouted around for probably a good 5 minutes and never caught him again.  I am not going to blacklist the guy cause I don't know for sure, but this has happened to me a few times on several characters just never at this low level.</p><p>Last I checked we don't get evac till 25 so I am just trying to figure out if it was someone cheating or some ability that is "escaping me".  I kind of hoped these cheats would have been flushed out by now, if it is that.</p>

<p>He was probably mentoring somebody and was much higher level than you. So he had his evac. A lot of people mentor there to get easy exp and AA from low level quests.</p>

<p>He probably went into stealth and ran off. Were you stealthed the whole time you were chasing him? Othersiw he wouldn't have shown on your track.</p>

Of course, when I mounted and buffed up I unstealthed myself and couldn't see him.. but he was still in my tracking window. In order to shorten the distance between us, I unstealthed during the chase and relied on tracking to continue the chase. At no time did he unstealth until I finally bridged the gap and hit him with a few daggers. The whole time he was stealthed prior to that and always present in my tracking window.

Oh and another thing, once you get the track and leave the Map open, they can do what ever they like and you won't loose them, the cross will move along the map with them.

<p>I am pretty sure he wasn't mentored, he would have to be grouped for that and I didn't see heroic (that I remember), would he still appear blue to me if he was mentored?</p><p>I wasn't stealthed after I attacked and when I started to win he ran off down the hill, well sprinted actually.  I was late on my sprint so when he started getting out of my throw range I stealthed up just in case to track him and that's when I lost all sight of him, just off the radar.  </p><p>"Oh and another thing, once you get the track and leave the Map open, they can do what ever they like and you won't loose them, the cross will move along the map with them. " -- Good idea btw, hadn't considered doing that.</p><p> It feels fishy to me only because I had a similar situation happen with a green in same area actually a few levels earlier and then maybe a week ago it happened to my assassin in zek.  I excused that one to just evac though.</p><p>I can understand escaping by any means necessary, it's just not my cup of tea.  Not to turn it into a philosophical debate, but I am trying to restrain from fleeing fights that I could possibly have a chance to win at, I think it helps you improve at pvp to get beat once in awhile and learn something from it.  Seems like people only want to win or run now though oh well.</p><p>Perhaps I just suck at tracking lol <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Still learning, still fun either way.</p>

<p>This is completely off topic of the original post, but I felt starting a new thread would be dumb when it only takes 1 answer :O</p><p>Speaking of the house plant, if I didn't get when one when I bought the expansion should I petition it to see if they will give me one? It was a digital download but I believe it was still supposed to come with an ingame item..</p>
