The progression of quests in this game makes it nearly impossible to form a group to do quests, because someone is always on a different part of the quest line. What I mean to say is that with the exception of HG's or similar important quests its hard to find another 5 people your level that will do the same quests as you because they're most likely havent progressed as far as you or have passed you in the quest progression line. This has killed grouping for the purpose of completing non heroic quests. Soloing is great dont get me wrong but I get bored very quickly when I do that the majority of the time. Anyway, maybe some Dev will read this and down the road they'll fix this. WoW is a good example of how to set up quest progression, I always did quests in a group setting not cause I had to but cause it was more fun. It's been fun here, great game, but now its time for me to move on.

1st point... There's already a metric buttload of this exact complaint on the forums...wouldn't it be better served to not start yet another topic with the exact same textual content?2nd point... Questing in RoK IS exactly like WoW... Or have you not played WoW and are making an educated guess? One can solo to 70 faster in WoW than in any other game to date, including EQ2. WoW is a solo levelers dream. I can level characters (esp hunter/rogue/warr/mage) faster than any group can instance grind in WoW. My record? 3.5 days to 60, 3 additional days to 70... That's days /played, not realtime days. lol On my server, I had the first level 70 draenei hunter...and the 3rd draenei to 70 altogether...the other two were power leveled by their raid guilds while I played in my time not spent at work. For all the people complaining that they don't want to be compared to WoW, I'm really surprised to see someone say "make it like WoW!" [Removed for Content]?! I came here to get away from WoW...

Dawy- did you even read all of my post?"WoW is a solo levelers dream." If I were to write that I'd insert group for solo in there. And questing in WoW is in no way like EQ2. No way in hell are you going to see people group up to do quests in DLW CL Ant Nek TS EL Zek etc, unless they know eachother or on the off chance that they arrive to the zones at the sametime and havent done any of the quests. I've tried doing this a few times its a pain in the [Removed for Content] cause I have to wait for them to catch up or they have to wait for me, ie grouping not worth it. EQ2 is great for soloers/raiders it absolutely blows compared to EQ1 or WoW for grouping.

As a new player in this game I do recognize the concerns of the OP, unless you start out fresh with IRL friends or guildees it's hard to get a group up for questing. In WoW it was a little bit easier yes, but the quest lines were very much the same and often posed the same issue. Main difference beeing that there aren't half as many quests in WoW as there are in EQ2 (at least from what I've seen from the lower levels so far) and that's probably why, alongside with the lack of local channels.- If anything its more beneficial to quest in EQ2 than in WoW with quest drops often beeing shared due to not having to be looted. Secondly, I don't like to compare the two.

I am only level 45, but as I see it, the Heroic quests (dungeons/instances) are the ones for groups.  I.E. Heroic = Group.  When I want to solo, I do the non-heroic quests.  Sometimes I end up in a duo this way.  When I want to group, that is when I grab some Heroic quests and join a dungeon.  It seems to me the dungeon type quests are not chained too deep and so 2-4 runs through a dungeon can fulfill most of the quests.  Again, this is from level 20-45 experience only.

I am absolutely loving the idea some people have, I love to see in the level 40-49 chat.... Looking to start "Training is a Shield" in Zek, PST if interested.... this is the best way to experience places i havent seen, I literally logged on, in less then a minute, saw "starting a Foomby's something quest" i sent the tell, he said be in enchanted lands in 30 minutes, and i was done with the quest in an hour, start to finish... Hope it works for you,
