Usefulness of Intoxication

Returning Ranger after a 5 month hiatus and I've been re-evaluating my AA's prior to RoK. I see plenty of threads in regards to recommended AA lines to follow and I too use the int line and it looks something like this 7-4-4-8.Just curious if there was any compelling reason to spend 2 points on the last one, or if they would be better off spent in other places. Does it affect epic mobs or does it only work on melle attacks etc....?TIA!

In groups, the mob is dead b4 this can even finishing ticking off its entire damage. But on raids, when applied in conjunction with mortal reminder it can up your DPS. Hey it is free DPS and no other end line ability is worth it. Well the strength one is but everything you take to get to that ability is useless. Really the meat of the intelligence line is from the spell crits. This is spoken from a raiding ranger perspective.

Nothing else will give you more DPS after the AGI, INT, Multishot and Focusing lines are complete. If you didn't take it, you would probably end up putting 2 points into pathfinding or something equally useless.And it's not useless. It's free DPS. Not bad for soloing heroics either.

Unfortunatly I can only give you a raiding perspective too. I don't only view this as free DPS, but also a major debuff that benefits the entire raid force. And it's use can be coordinated with the other Predators for maximum effectiveness. This is a must for raiding Predators. But I use it for grouping too. RoK is around the corner and we'll be fighting yellow and orange heroics again soon. I think the value of Intox is about to rise in the near future.

<p>Thanks for the input guys and I am getting back nto raiding so i repurchased it again. I also created a Macro, to use Mortal reminder and Poison combination, so we'll see how that affects the DPS.</p>
