Let's just hope Sony learned from the sham that was the last "increased drop" weekend. I'm personally not holding my breath though.

Does this apply to non US server people too?

Than you're one of the very lucky few my friend. Read through this thread regarding the last one:http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=383885

I bought loads of fresh food and duck in last time you guys did this. Killed many, many critters, both solo and in group. And seen 1 special card drop in a group.

Unless you specify what the increased loot drop is I will let this weekend pass by. You not wasting no more of my time and pleasure in EQ2.

Right, i accept the fact that there are people out there who play LoN.But why is it suddenly LoN Weekends instead of double xp weekends? Half the servers population only want the cards for one reason: they are worth plat on the broker.Double XP weekends are far more useful if u ask me. At least combine the 2.And i agree the last weekend was not exactly enhanced drop rates. I killed loads of mobs (for XP not cards) and didn't see a single card.First time ever i saw one drop since LoN launch was 3 days ago.

they did increase the chance to get thoe cards... the majority of the players just fails to understand that they increased it form like 1 in 1 million to 1 in half a million.... that stuff is supposed to be insane rare... why do people not understand that?

If its insanely rare it hardly draws new or casual people in who want to try the game. And all weekend killing mobs to get one card is hardly a demonstration of the follow statement...'It will be a blast – especially with such an increased opportunity to loot some great cards! So combat those EQ and EQII enemies this weekend and loot, loot, loot!'Last one was hardly a blast... more a wet soggy (d-a-m-p appears to get filtered out for some reason) squib.

they want that buying the cards for money is the best way to get them, not buying eq2 subsciption, farming plat and then buying them of the broker.... so, those cards being insane rare does make sense....

That being the case, it makes this a complete waste of time... if they really want people to sign into LoN to perform their tournament testings and whatever else they need tested, they are going to have to do a lot more then an increased drop rate on an already completely uber rare drop... it doesn't work and is just simply deterring people from LoN all together...Being spamed constantly to join LoN while in game, then being led by the carrot with this ridiculous drop rates, it's laughable .. and sure as hell does not make we want to even bother with that kind of tripe... and I'm sure many others feel the same.Good luck to all attempting to get these drops, but I myself will not be one

I personally like LoN and enjoy playing it. I was extremely disappointed with the last so-called significant drop rate increase/promo weekend, though. I spent HOURS slaughtering greens last time and didn't see even one single card or booster. I am also disappointed with the lack of any response from SoE regarding the huge negative response from the last promo weekend fiasco.

I'm usually one of the people on the forums that tries to give SoE the benefit of a doubt, and I try to be patient with bugs, etc., but sorry SoE. This time I'm not taking the bait.

Usually I get very excited about events such as this but unless I see an official indication that the drop rate will be 1 in 200-400 kills at the very least, I'm not going to change my playing habits just for this. Sadly, I know for certain I'm not in the minority with this opinion, either.

Meh...I too was sucked into the last promo weekend looking for booster/promo, but after a ridiculous amount of killing of greens/blues/whites, I came way with exactly zero LoN items. I figured last time that the chances were still pretty small, so I made sure to tie my killing spree to completing faction writs, that way I didn't get nothing worthwhile out of the weekend. It ended up being a smart move. This time, if I actually get some time to play this weekend, I'll likely just play as normal, completing quests and such. If I get a LoN drop, great, but I'm not holding my breath that I'll walk away with one.

From LON launch to now - general adventuring killing many many mobs = 1 booster pack. But during the higher drop weekend: about 8 hours mentored down and slaughtering greens = 2 boosters, 1 starter+2 booster, 2 switch, 1 hatred. Not a bad run, since previously on normal days, I'd spend 3-4 hours at a time trying to get boosters and got nothing.

So, mentor down to kill massive amounts of low level monsters or miss out on the promo weekend?
