Ok, here's the situation.

3 Farmers. Two still in immunity, one coming out. Ive been harrassing them coz Im bored, and farmers are fun to annoy. I start fighting the one, kill him, then as the other two come out of immunity and start attacking me, a regular player comes along and joins in. I manage to kill said regular player (with a wizard and warden on my [Removed for Content] too), but said player stays dead, eventually the wizard and warden kill me... Said player gains infamy??? HUH?

Let me preface this by saying that I dont care about titles, I wish we didn't have them, but this is just silly. Ive never noticed this before, and I can't see any situation where this would fair. Sure, if the dead person is in a group with the people who kill me, he deserves his share of the infamy, but for him to decrease mine when really, I deserve lots more for getting him against the odds... I dunno.

I doubt it will ever get changed, but I thought I'd throw my thoughts out there.

I agree Kill, except in the group situation. Gotta feel bad for the tank that takes all the damage, and occasionally dies to save his teammates. I think he deserves every reward the others get.

I assume you were killing those farmers who were untitled and you were at least slayer?

The reason I ask is because the infamy system is so [Removed for Content]. It may be true that you LOST infamy, because your tooned was PvP engaged when the within-titled opponent went down. However, you were still engaged in PvP with the farmers, and when you died, your avatar then registered that you had fought the within-titled opponent and then died, thus the lose of infamy.

I would not be surprised that although you lost infamy, the guy you killed got no infamy. Would not surprise me with the [Removed for Content] system we have.

For the most part a tank is disposable after the first taunts come in. All a tank does is let the dps do there thing.

I agree with Jhor, this should be changed.

I agree with Jhor too.. dead folks should get no infamy.
I disagree.. Infamy as it is, is useless. Make no changes to it unless you're changing the entire system.

Either everyone in the group lives through the fight... or the healer is not doing their job? What if, for example, my group of three level 55 toons (tank, healer, scout) go up against a full group of level 54 toons (whatever makeup you please). At the end of the fight, I (as the tank) have intercepted every point of damage, keeping all 6 opposing toons locked on me while my scout picks them off. It is conceivable, is it not, that there was just too much damage taken by the tank for one healer to reasonably keep the tank standing.Thats a tank doing his job. That's a healer working her [Removed for Content] off to do her job.If my group wins, but I still die, I think you'd he hard pressed to say the healer didnt do her job.I agree with infamy even if dead. All things being equal, I contributed to the win, I should get the spoils. With that said, I hate being titled....

I don't have any issues with group members getting fame if temporarily dead, but the thing I have a problem with is when your whole group is down in a 3+ way or mob fight, and you still get fame even after your whole group died, as long as something else was on the hate list at the time. That I really disagree with.
