Hi all and thanks in advance.

First let me say i love this game, i have played off and on since launch. My play time is pretty limited so it has taken me about a year to get my pally to 53. I solo 95% of the time mostly due to the fact that i don't log on until about 11 or midnight and finish about 2 or 3 a.m. Anyway, i have hit 53 and feel like im hitting a brick wall. I did the quests in steamfont, did the quests in PoF, tried the lower lvl KoS area but even the non-heroics were taking forever to tank. Tried EF and did all the solo i could but there were just to many heroics i couldn't even touch. Went to LS that lasted about 10 min. Same problem with heroics. So i had an epiphony. Why not upgrade all my armor and weapons and spells as much as i could with 6pp. So i did. Leaving the broker i was pretty much pennyless but i felt like i was geared up pretty well and would stand a much stronger chance in combat. No dice. New armor, spells, and weapons didn't seem to make a craps worth of difference. So i need some input as to where to go to hunt. I'm not looking for nameds and big loot, just a zone with quests or mobs that i can burn up some lvls in a decent amount of time. And for anyone who says join a guild. I belong to a great guild. The problem being my play times, and most of them are already at 70. So any advice would be much appreciated.

My second question is about AA's. I think i have about 41 so far. I had my pally into the 30's before i bought Eof/Kos combo box. I almost have my avenger line done and i have about 4 in sta and 4 in wis. I read the Pally boards and it seems like they are all going Int/Agi/Sta. So am i wrong to have put points into Str and wis?

Any advice on AA's, and areas to hunt/quest would be great. I feel a bit stuck and i don't wanna go all alt crazy. I think it may be happening because i started a monk/swashy/temp and got them all to 30 already while my poor pally just sits parked.

In my experience every class hits a brick wall at some point if they rely on soling as the means to progress through the levels. This may be God's way of telling us its time to group? Seriously though if your raison d'etre is to cap out then you really should be grouping...you will level FAR faster this way. If you can't find groups LFM then try starting the group yourself....you won't need a full group to start hitting the heroic instances. Try Clefts, Hidden Cache, Mines.

Can't really be of any help with the Pally AA's... don't play plate tanks as, like you, I solo mostly. But I did just hit 54 with my brigand and I have 58 AA pts with him and can say that as a brigand having the right AA's really can help. Most of my gear is lvl 52 mastercrafted, on this point I'm kind of conflicted. It always pays to keep your combat abilities up to snuff... I try to keep adept 1's to masters in my hot bar, but it's getting to expensive(for me) to keep my character in Adepts and Masters and Mastercrafted gear. As for leveling, the Tears Grifters missions in Maj'Dul aren't bad exp and you can do one every 30 minutes. I've also been doing the quests in Lesser Faydark for a couple of levels, but as a solo pally this may be kinda nasty... try it and see. The Clefts of Rujark aren't bad either... if you don't mind sharing a zone with plat sellers... good place to work on that 'Destroyer of Orc's' title too. I'm sure there is tons of other stuff that I'm not thinking of... it's 03:30 and I need coffee. Don't feel bad, I feel kinda bogged down with my character too. I'm sure once I find a good grind spot and/or some good quest lines it will pick up.

Same with armor unless you get some good drops.

Not everyone goes int/Agi/Sta for paly's. Most actually go Str/Wis. This makes them better tanks. Mine is maxed out in Str and the rest all is Wis.

You should go harvesting at lower tiers for a while (you have a higher chance at getting rares at tiers much lower than your max harvesting skills) and sell these on the broker. You'd have a few more plats in a couple of days for more upgrades. Once you get into the higher 50's leveling becomes a bit easier again.

have you tried Sinking Sands?

I would have to suggest SS also. Many solo quest lines there. Grab all the ones from there and from Maj'dul. That should get a few levels. Then move to Pillars of Flame and get the quest lines there.

In SS, the only thing you may want to find a group for is to do the carpet quests, unless you have a faster horse.

As some of the other posters I too would recommend Sinking Sands, lots of solo quests to do there. Also, don't forget lesser faydark, the zone is kinda confusing to start with but there are Lots of soloable questlines in there all are level 50-60 so it should fit your pally just fine.

From my understanding....pallies may be slow levelers/boring to play to begin with.
