Hi, recently I started a character who is on one of the rp servers and for rp reasons is in exile.

All was going well until us guildies got together to go do "Return of the Light" Hq which eventually takes you to the instance of Bloodskull Valley.

Bloodskull Valley previously had an access quest and due to people becoming frustrated they removed it and put a hail mob at the zone in. Everyone in group must hail before being allowed to zone in.

Apparently Exiled aren't allowed to get these "hidden" hail flags to zone in. Please tell me this is an oversight. Why does random bandit care if I don't belong to a city. He accepts anyone from any city. Previous to this change I'd been able to zone into this zone no problem. I went through and did the access quest and even though I have "access" by the old system still I cannot enter.

After talking to some others apparently this extends to Raid zones in Dessert of Flames (Akhet and Courts of Alafaz-forgive the mispelling) in Pillars of Flame and a number of other instances.

Was it the developers intent to exclude players from accesing many parts of the game, just because they are midquest. Why were we previously allowed in the old system and not in this new one?

Please consider changing this.

You wanted to be an exiled deal with it. You have the means to fix it yourself, but you want the developers to change the game to suit you. Exile is just that, your exiled, between cities and ostracized from society. Exile is meant as a path between the good and evil sides of eq2 not a permanent residence, If you want to interact with society join a city.

hmmm I have never had the access problems you have and I have done all the EoF, Dof, and Kos instance raid content as an exile

I spend a lot more time getting between places and I pay much more for everything and loose money for selling.

Having things "harder". I can totally agree with.

Having parts of the game completely unavailable. I do not agree with.

Belonging to Freeport you still can choose to walk into Qeynos, course you might die to the guards.. but the zones STILL exist for you. This is a matter of programming oversight, in my opinion. Considering as I said these zones WERE available, only when the "access" quests were removed and these hail mobs were added to keep people from accidentally zoning into zones with lock out timers did there become a problem.

Uilaman, I'm willing to bet that you play on a pvp server. I'd like to hear if that has been fixed for pvp because the pvp server implementation was put in after this flag change was made on PvE. I've run into this bug while leading T5 raids and thought it was just the instance. This is something that needs to be addressed, and sooner rather than later. I'm sure it's a simple coding change. On a RP server we do things like staying in exile faction so a conjuror can walk around Neriak easily to access the RP. Of course, if Neriak had the sneakability that all the other cities have, she wouldn't HAVE to be stuck in exile. Please fix this.
