Bard Lend Shielding - Doesn't Work

So... i attacked a grey bear, enabled Lend Shielding... i get hit by the bear, and the buff is still up, i parry a few hits, then i block and the buff disapears.. shoudn't it block the first attack? i got hit.. Does it block CAs or only Auto Attacks? i've wasted my free respec... Acolas

also.. i have noticed.. why do i parry a LOT more than i block, yet my pary is 11.5% and my block is almost 20%... e.g. like 10 parrys to one block... or does it do the parry check first, then the block check... or something.. i dunno.. anyone got an explanation?

Is it supposed to work on us though?  Id assumed from the description id read it was to use on others hence 'lend shielding'.

its us or an ally..  guess its supposed to be "whoever is hit first"
