Hi, I recently came back to EQ. The last xpac I bought was KoS. With RoK coming out this Nov and I believe it containing the entire came, should I wait till it comes out or get EoF now and RoK in Nov? I started a new char and don't have much time to play so I won't gain too many levels by Nov. Also, I can work on the KoS AA's now and save the EoF till Nov. Thanks!

One big advantage the EoF expansion gives you is that you begin earning AA exp at level 10 with level 10 content, instead of level 20 with level 20 content. So if you are starting over from level 1, it's actually a pretty big plus.

If you started a new character, you should definatly pick it up. You will find content for every single level, all the way up to 70. Plus you get the new AAs, the new collection quests. There is also a lot of cool lore behind the quests too.

It's really hard to say bud since we don't know if RoK will be like EoF coming out with all expansions in it. Personally I would pick it up if I didn't have it due to the EoF AAs they have and the Deity stuff.

ok its like 5-6 months away, so I would have to say Go ahead and get it

now it it was like 5-6 DAYS away then I would say hold off untill you can get it because your not going to get THAT many AAs by then

Can I earn AA exp towards the crusader AA tree starting at level 10 or it doesn't start until level 20 if I don't have EoF? The SK AA tree was added in EoF right? Thanks

Once you have even 1 AA point you can assign it to either tree, assuming you have the KoS expaintion.

Personally this far out I would recomend getting EoF, for 3 reasons first you get your AAs earlier, and second the Contentent on Faydwar is lots of fun and the zones are really cool, finally because the loot by and large is better out of the EoF zones then out of the old world zones.

As has been said here if you are starting a new character then you really should get EoF now. If for no other reason then for the AA. With EoF there are much better AA choices that are class specific, you startr earning AA at level 10, and there are tons of content for level 10-70 that allows you to earn more AA.

Example: I jsut started an Arasai necro. Now I am level 27 with 17AA points from Darklight, Commonlands, Thundering Steppes, and Nektulos quest lines. Without EoF I would have to just move on to Enchanted Lands for my next set of quests to earn AA. Instead I just boated it over to Butcherblock for a bunch of quests that will probably get me another 5AA or so plus I would not have earned any AA levels 10-20 and I would not have been able to put points in the Necro tree and get lifeburn.

The advantage will continue as my next AA points will go into the EoF tree to strenghten my warrior pet and I will have Steamfont to help bridge the gap between Rivervale / Zek and Feerot quest lines.

I left Everquest2 after the release of Desert of Flames, and I just recently came back to Everquest2. This time I started from scratch and bought a copy of the EoF expansion, and I must say that the EoF expansion is just plain awesome. I highly suggest you purchase the EoF expansion. In my eyes, it is the first expansion for Everquest2 that SoE got right. It is more closer to the feeling of old Everquest1 then any other expansion out for Everquest2 right now.

Eof has a lot of stuff in it. Lots of areas to get AA discoveries...stuff like that. My own impression is that if you can find the expansion cheap, I'd get it and load it up. Or...if you get bored and just want to do a little exploring...load it up. There's quite a bit of stuff in there for most levels.
