I am starting this after a long evening spent doing a group quest, all because of some cretin ranger.

Togeder with a few friends, we decided to do a quest in SS, since we all had the right level... 4shadowknights, an assain and a fury, all between 49-55. In SS we have the titlehuggers that camp the docks for easy kills. That was not us. Most of them avoided us till this [Removed for Content] ranger started shooting from up above a rock on the beach. We were not there to chase anyone, so we let him know that. All 4 SKS used their HT on him, i don't know how many landed a hit, but we executed him. Funny as it sounds, that was our biggest mistake, as the guy followd us the whole evening trying to take out the healer as we started a fight, determined to kill us all and get his honor back. That never happen, but the guy was on us troughout all the quest. Hitting then running trying to get us to chase him.. And since he was on all of our recent lists, he had no fear of loss of honor or coin.

I may be selfi1sh, but the recent list needs a closer look. Titlehuggers are insistant and have no regard for player curtesy, and may ruin evenings for nice people. I am by no means asking the removal of these lists, the chaos that would cause. Make it so those who initiate attaks on people that recently killed them to remove their name from the recent lists of the person he attaks. If you have better suggestions, I would love to hear them.

A group like the one you describe has nothing to fear from a solo ranger imo.

Actually I belive he's asking that the recent list be taken away so that annoyances like the [Removed for Content] shooter class that followed his grp and failed 20 times over lose infamy for being a [Removed for Content] each time. I for 1 whole heartedly agree. [Removed for Content] is a plug doing on infamy anyway? Its pvp if you want to protect ur infamy you better get the hell out of there. If your killed over and over again? Oh well its pvp expect it.

Recent lists should work both ways, the person who you just killed can't get any infamy, faction, or coin untill he's off your list.

Good suggestion.

As far as I can see, having someone who attacks YOU (i.e first hit) not count for fame, regardless of lists, would seem like a bug to most?

I guess its to stop fame farming off alts/friends? In which case the one off thing might work out well as suggested.

I read no evidence that indicates that this issue had anything to do with a list.

Heh we had this with a 70 dirge, Katsuo, in the Freep sewers the other day..he just keep respawning and attacking over and over. We killed him group, we killed him each solo, and at one point I melee'd him to death just to keep the fight interesting. Since we couldn't find anyone willing to engage us in the city besides him..we headed off after a bit, but it annoyed me to think he might think we left because he was annoying us. I could have killed him all day long. At the least I was assured a possible token or two every half hour.

Thats actually a really good idea, if somone attacks you and he is on your recent list, he should be removed from it.

One of his favorite spots is Whisperwind Isle. I think Katsuo wants a higher death count then Udellamy .

Good ideas, except bot groups should be excluded. I loved to annoy those guys, but sometimes it takes a few runs at them when I am solo to get them all killed /snicker.
